Is there anyone here who would be willing to test and/or just play in the south Indianapolis area?

I've visited Indy Gamerz and The Game Preserve and have not found anyone who plays either Vintage or Legacy. All of my friends exclusively play Standard.

Please, I think I'm starting to go through withdrawal, last night I tried to smoke a few of my Brainstorm's...

In my 2.5 years in West Lafayette, I never did find much in the way of Vintage out there. They have t1 tournaments sometimes in Chicago or Michigan, but rather little in IN itself. The Purdue area has some good players, though they mostly draft and play no Vintage. PM me if you'd like to know the names of some folks who draft at Purdue. Best of luck searching.

To be honest with you I have just recently started getting back into the eternal formats. The last time i played regularly was during the time that you could still play 4 Yawgmoth's Bargain in Standard!!!  I've always had one pet Vintage deck but I recently have a 10 proxy Pitch Long deck sleeved up and have been playing online to test (ugh). As such, I don't really like to draft since the cards I'll pull won't go into any decks. I have resorted to buying singles  Sad

Thanks though.

I have a terribly fear of the Bloomington area, for unrelated events I've attended down there. However, I do have a few magic buddies down there and if I do indeed make a trip down there I'll be sure to shoot you a PM  Very Happy

Did you walk down Kirkwood on mushrooms or something?

Bloom is really nice, if you're making a trip let me know. There's a gaming store in town that I haven't checked out yet.

(O.O)

ummm... I used to drive down there for electronic events but the scene is not too accepting of my kandi crew...

... I'd comment more but I'd totally incriminate myself.

Are there Vintage or Legacy tourney's in B-town?

Wow, I didn't know you moved down here Doug.  I've recently started playing again.  We'll have to talk about hitting up some tournaments.

As for T1 in IN, it is nonexistent.  I tried a few years ago to make tournaments work in Bloomington, but nobody in Bloomington will play Vintage.  They all play Standard and Draft.

On the other hand, my friend and I will probably start going to tournaments on a more regular basis now.  All of the infinite proxy events have made it more appealing for me to try to make it to a tournament every month or so.

As for the gaming store in town, it is called The Game Preserve.  They have drafts and FNM.  Never any T1 tournaments.  I talked to the store manager recently about doing some T1 tourneys, but they can only hold them on Saturday and I absolutely have to work every Saturday.  Either way, I don't think there are enough local precipitants to make a T1 tourney successful.
