Wow.  Great Decks.  Congrats too all.  Is it possible that Slaver and TPS might be a little too strong after taking all of the top 4?  I remeber Grim Tutor being a possible candidate  for restriction about a year ago.  Cabal ritual might also hit the deck mildly while restricting dark ritual would just destroy the deck.  Strategic planning just broke on to the scene but it does seem to be making slaver a little too busted, and while ichorid is still ichorid a small hit to slow it down a turn would be nice so that the deck would only take up 3-4 sb slots instead of 5.  Any Thoughts?

I think everything is as it should be. If anything, Strategic Planning might need some attention down the line, but I don't think anyone should jump to immediate conclusions about that card.

Only 5 sideboard slots...

Man your lucky, I have to run 8. Dredge is annoying to play against.
Although after seeing Smmenen's sideboard I think I have a new plan.

I do not think that any cards look like they need to be restricted, I am really enjoying the way it is.

It's too early to talk about new restrictions, two months after the last ones.
Slaver is not too busted.
Spending sideboard slots to beat Ichorid is a good thing for metagame balance and all decks should be forced to do it.

Right now too many cards are restricted as it is.  We need not restrict any more stuff until they free Dream Halls.

Dream Halls sucks soooooo bad.  It's power rating is like negative five out of ten.

how can people think strategic planning needs to be banned? whenever innovation happens and people dont know about it, those innovations tend to do well. this happened with tyrant oath. the first week the deck was out it won every tourney. after a month it died in popularity, why? becxause what makes vintage great is every decks ability to adapt. strategic planning was a great innovation, and i commend meandeck for finding it, is it broken? no! this is the problem with some people in the vintage community, and the people who control the vintage restrictions, when someone sees something work in this format they cry out for restrictions! Let it go people, if you are concerned about slaver run pithing needle, tormods crypt,or just play Long.
With that said congrats to all of top 8! I was unable to attend due to some personal troubles however the top 8 was a good thing to happen to this format. I think it is finally safe to say we have a defined meta, and from there we are able to meta-deck. I am happy to see the way vintage is shaping out to be this is going to be a great year of vintage!!
