I don't know how much Japanese Grindstones go for, but 2 Japanese Grindstones seems like a good 3rd place prize rather than dividing it up.

IDK, current "market value" for a NM English one is 35, so I think 2 NM Japanese ones are a bit past 3rd place territory, but below 2nd... more of a Plan B in case I can't get any big cards for 2nd.

Damn it, once again, they manage to give me a date that conflicts...the Shards Of Alara prerelease. So...moving it one week earlier to the 20th. I wouldn't care, but now that the prereleases are in-store, I know they will pull some nonsense, so I might as well reschedule now. I apologize for any inconvenience, but this is the advantage of scheduling ahead of time.

They're actually about half that on Ebay, which is what I think more people go by.

Okay, duly noted, though a quick look at the stores almost all have it at 30 or more, even for "played" ones. I'll take your word for it auctions are in the range you say. And I put quotes "market value" as in sarcasm because Star City all but determines price in this region, and you will be hard pressed to find a competent store in Maryland selling them for less than the 35 they are. Where would you put a Japanese one?

I'm gonna try to make it to this one.  Would anybody from the northern VA area possibly want to carpool to this?

Will this tournament use the new B&R list?  I assume so but wanted to make certain.

Update, and apologies for the lack of scans and 1st place prize. I will close the deal and get scans up over the next few days. I have to move 1st week of October, and have a radio appearance (rap group) to prepare for, been very busy.

However, then we run into the problem of holding the tournament in conjunction with the Shards of Alara Launch Party.  What is the prize this time around, anyway?  Also, isn't there another Philly Blue Bell tournament going on around that time too?

I think you misunderstood. I have to move from my house the first week of October. And as far as the prize, looking like Ruby or Sapphire.

Paul and DonQuita are assisting, but we're also playing, so any help would be appreciated. I don't have a camera, I wouldn't mind pictures, anyone that wants to, great!

Can I get some directions from the store to a parking garage or all-day lot?  I didn't find the one last time.

Looking forward to it!

Yes please do post said information so us poor out of town folk can easily find all day parking. Thank you.

I can answer this one for you guys.  Along York Road, on the opposite side of Legends, you could try to find all day parking.  Also, if you want more guaranteed parking, head north along York Road, past Legends until you see a traffice circle.  Take the traffic circle until you get to Dulaney Valley Road and park in the Mall Parking lot called Towson Town Center.  Although it says that this is for Mall only, I have never been ticketed in my years parking there.  To get to Legends just walk towards the nearby Barnes and Nobles.  You will be right by York Road.  Cross York Road so that you're across from Barnes and Nobles, and walk down the street about a block.  Legends will be on your right when walking south on York Road.  A good marker is to look for Towson Commons (it's a movie theater at the corner of Pennsylvania Avenue and York Road.).  Legends is around that corner.

So if we're coming from 695 on Dulaney Valley Road, it will be on the left at the Towson Town Center Mall before we get to the traffic circle, yeah?

There is also a series of lots on the other side of the Outdoor/Camping store, on the opposite corner to the store. Thelarge one by the Burger King validates at the bookstore Wink.

Also, if you've been keeping up with the thread, I mentioned I had a radio appearance. My rap crew will be on 1010 AM WOLB at 9:30AM tomorrow. I don't expect any of you to care lol, but I figure I'd tell you cool people, we're giving away $100 as a promotional thing so if you're available and within range, you can listen and try to win 100 bucks!

Thanks to all who have helped and are coming out, I hope this will be another fun event!

Dude, I just realized that this is the same Towson! My brother's a Senior in high school and has been talking with Towson University about their Drama program. Maybe I can weasel my way into coming to this if I take him to visit the university!

(Not likely, but w/e. Still kinda neat.)

Well, if you can work it out, then Legends is just up the street from Towson University.

It doesn't look like I'll be able to pull it off this time, (After all, Vintage Pwning/Campus Visiting carries a high degree of difficulty.) but now I have a really legitimate reason to make it to the next one!
