Looking for links to old tournament reports that were funny. Osyp, Tomi Walamies and Geordie Tait would all be good examples. That said, I'm sure there are more I'm simply forgetting and would love to read again. If you have a particular favorite, share!

For reference, the one I'm currently rereading: http://www.starcitygames.com/php/news/article/12144.html

Also I'd prefer non-Vintage ones, but I mean go for it just as a footnote for the people who haven't been around long enough to read them all.

This is the funniest Tournament Report I've ever read. It's a Vintage report, though. Circa 2002.

It's pretty ironic that people used to drive that amount of time for a 4 round tournament because there just weren't any alternatives back then.

Look how many more tournaments there are now compared to 2002, its just ridiculous to compare.  As far as we've come as a playerbase we still are barely a blip on wizards' radar to be honest.

Although I have to say I used to be able to walk into a room hosting a tournament and identify every player and knew what they were running that day, I shot down to the latest tmd13.5 down at stratford, I recognized only a handful of people, the rest were just randoms I had never heard of.

I guess these are the consequences for being out of the tournament scene for so long.

My favorite report is the 1997 Mid-Atlantic Regionals one.

Which year did Bennie Smith win Regionals with Blair Witch Green? I remember discussing the deck with him (and plenty of others, of course!) on the newsgroups...

If it makes you feel any better I barely knew anyone in that room too and I never left

I thought I did a good job of writing an amusing tournament report for the 2005 vintage championships.  I like Pat Chapin's stuff....basically any of it.
