Hi,

here is a list that i have been thinking with the new restricted cards list. It's just the begining of something. The name comes from my magic team. Please, respect the name : ). It's only the idea. I need to fix the 60 cards. Advices?

4 dream halls
2 tyrant
3 show and tell            9

1 diminishing returns
1 memory jar
1 time twister
4 time spiral            7

4 three wishes
4 thirst for knowledge
1 ancestral recall         9

1 brainfreeze            1

4 mana drain
4 force of will
2 nix               10

1 time walk            1

1 brainstorm
1 mystical
2 personal tutor

5 mox
1 lotus
1 sol ring
1 mana vault
1 lotus petal
1 mana crypt
4 fetchland
islands etc

The idea is show and tell to dream halls, then draws and draws seven until you can play a tyrant. Then, more draws more spells and return permanents to the hand of your opponent, and finally dream halls to your hand, or maybe storm and brain freeze

The second way is the option show and tell directly to tyrant.

Help!

I think I'm gonna test this:

mana: 24 (10 accelerant, 7 islands 5 fetch 1 tolaria 1 library)

winners: 11
1 mind's desire
1 brain freeze
2 tidesprout tyrant
3 show and tell
4 dream hall

draw/bounce/counter: 25
4 fow
4 mana drain
3 misdirection

4 repeal
1 brainstorm
1 merchant scroll
1 ancestral recall
1 time walk
1 timetwister

1 rebuild
1 hurkil's recall
3 time spiral

In your deck I don't like "three wishes", because I think you need to control&bounce with the best cheap converted mana cost cards, until you dream halls / show and tell.
Misdirection is to protect better the dream halls' play, also for tyrant protection.
I think the deck wants only to drop mana, control until explode in some way.
You can just drop mox, eot rebuild/hurkil and play desire for 5/6 in you turn. Desire can be played by dream also.

I don't know about the side, for sure icorid needs some answers (we could play a couple of underground sea for a "partially black" sideboard).
It should be tested also how much "bad" is the simmetrical effect of dream halls and the draw 7, because we dont' play duress, and opponent can draw 7 better than us.

PS: I will initially try this side
3 tormod vs icorid (keep repeal for needle/chalice@0)
3 extirpate (add 2 underground in maindeck, -2 island)
3 duress (vs combo, repeal side out)
3 energy flux (vs artifact)
3 blue elemental blast??? spell snare?? 3 cards for random aggro decks fish-like (2 morphling?)

Check out Zvi's old Dream Halls deck. It solves a lot of problems that your Dream Halls deck has, namely showing an opponent a whole pile of cards with every D7. Your Halls turns on their Drains and all that stuff. Zvi used Ancestral Memories and Gaea's Blessing along with Mana Severance to blaze through the deck over and over again. To solve the D7 problem, you could also run Defense Grid.

Slyfer, Repeal looks hands-down awful in Dream Halls.

I actually made a casual dream halls deck once, i ended up taking it apart since it got quite boring...however:

Getting rid of mana sources is quite important...so mana severance might actually have a place somewhere.

Rush of knowledge is quite good once dream halls is in play, the problem is that it's quite useless before dream halls hits play...(Imagine casting it with a DSC out though)

And here we have the underlying problem with Dream Halls.  Either the deck sucks without Halls in play, or the deck is good without it, in which case there's no reason to play it =[
