The Custom Card for this event will be can be voted on in this thread. These Custom Cards will be Gold Numbered 1-8 and be given out to the Top 8 according to finish. In the case of splits, swiss ranking will determine placement. I appreciate all the support I've received from the community, and anticipate the continued growth of Vintage in New England. These Custom Cards do not take away from the prize pool at all. They are an extra way of saying thank you. There will also be one Custom Proxy given away at random to one person who carpools to the event. People carpooling, often from great distances, is what makes these events so successful. The dedication of the New England Vintage community is appreciated, and this is my way of saying thank you. First place prize will be an Unlimited Mox. (Mox Sapphire for 32+ Mox Pearl for <32) Here are the details: ELD's Mox Tournament XVIIISaturday, October 25th, 2008 $25 Entry Fee located at: Over the Edge Games 315 Grafton St. Worcester, MA 01604You can pre-register by sending me an PM or e-mailing me at EricELD@comcast.net You can also pre-register by via the Facebook Group - New England Vintage. The above is used to show relative value of each place for 30 players. On the day of the event, I will dig into my collection to make sure that everyone who places will be able to choose from tons of cards they'd be happy with. We're heading back to Over the Edge Games in Worcester, MA. We're learning from each event, and constantly trying to create the best environment possible for tournament players. ELD's Mox 19 was held on the release weekend, and it was a huge success. The only issue we ran into was an unexpectedly large crowd overlapping with a large crowd for Yu-Gi-Oh. This event is on the same day as a nearby Yu-Gi-Oh regionals, so we don't need to worry about Yu-Gi-Oh players this time. We also found an excellent pizza place, and we'll be getting more toppings next time too!

The last two have been great. I'm going to try to make this and if so, I can retreive my uber-techy time vault proxy.

This event will be for a Signed Mox Sapphire, or a Mox Pearl. If we get over 32 players, I'll go with the Mox Sapphire. Less than 32 the Mox Pearl will let me give better prizes to the rest of the Top 8.

This event is approaching fast! Since I have a baby on the way in November, it is probably going to be a longer than normal time between ELD's Mox events. Since this event is so close to the birth of our child, I've decided to let the players name the baby. The name must have a Magic reference of some sort to be eligible.
EDIT: My wife doesn't think that was a good idea. It's probably just the pregnancy hormones talking, but just in case we'll just play Magic for amazing prizes instead.

Well, perhaps when all the fine choices are put out there, she'll change her mind: Alexi, Atalya, Diaochan - Artful Beauty, Elspeth, Galina, Glissa, Hanna, Irini, Jasmine, Jaya, Kaysa, Lady Caleria, Liliana, Linessa, Livonya, Lovisa, Mayael, Merieke, Mirri, Oriss, Radha, Rashka, Rayne, Rubinia, Sachi, Saffi, Selenia, Serra, Soraya, Teysa, Xira.

Oh also, pre-reg Jer and myself.

titties I'll take that as a pre-reg. It almost seemed like it could have been a suggestion for a baby name, but that's about as far from Magic related as you can get.
