22 people.  Lots of Oath and Stax.

Top 8 final standings were something like:

1.  Owen Turtenwald (ICBM) 23land.dec
2.  Dave Carhart (ICBM) Oath, the King James Version
3.  Jeremy Seroogy (ICBM) Spooky Stax
4.  Shawn Williams UR Fish
5.  Benjamin Carp (ICBM) Oath, the King James Version
6.  Tommy Kolowith (ICBM) Draw-Go Still Sucks
7.  James King (ICBM) Oath, the King James Version
8.  Tony Lyskawa (GWS) Shop Aggro

A good time was had by all.

it was SICK

Some number of:
Strategic Planning
Life from the Loam
Mox Diamond
Bazaar of Baghdad
were also in Owen's list, but I heard him say he'd probably not play the deck again.

I lost to it twice that day.

But I somehow beat a mana light Tommy in the top 8, with a M-Fing Greater Gargadon...

I'll see if I can get Owen to post it.

I played UR Landstill, which I build 10 minutes before the tournament started because... well why not?   I had Codi's latest Drain Tendrils build together, but decided I wanted to win all my matchups.   I then ended up getting ROLLED by Mono blue when I drew both my crucibles and all three of my null rods, and then lost to shops TWICE when I couldn't find any of my fire/ice, null rods, or shattering sprees to deal with their stuff.

At SCG Chicago, Owen bashed Ponder, saying it was a 'bad card,' then includes it in a deck he wrote about on SCG last week.   i see a pattern Smile

To be honest, I played it in the Plat deck because I literally couldn't think of anything better. But it is better than I said it was.

Yeah you got it GOOD!

I punched Jake Kempfer's.  It had knuckle marks, but unfortunately was not decimated.

considering the amount of mana ramping that seems to effortlessly occur while storming out, i really fail to see how storm entity is better then empty the warrens. There is also something to be said for the near uncounterability of actually using the storm mechanic.

Yeehah! Using opponent's Oath is tech!  Wink
I once used it to oath up Stingscourger, and another time I got Maralen from it ftw.  Very Happy

Any chance to get the top 8 lists of this event?

nope, I started off 2-0, then i got out played by TK, owen, and ben. and honestly I wouldn't recommend landstill in the current meta. It was a smaller event, and I've always wanted to play landstill, it turns out its just as fun to play as i thought it'd be.

Warrens is probably better, and I did run two of those also. I just like to squeeze one in, he makes a good decoy at times. There are also times it saved my ass. Owen just happen to be hold double Force when i played him, not saying i would have won the round, just a better chace to win.

It was on the mana drain as well as TMD. I posted them myself for Steve (the Organizer)

The tournament was well organized, except that Niebor is a clown....

Here's the list i played for all of those who were wondering.

maindeck (60)

4 mishra's workshop
1 ancient tomb
1 tolarian academy
4 city of brass
3 gemstone mine
3 wasteland
1 strip mine
1 bazaar of baghdad
5 mox
1 lotus
1 crypt
1 sol ring
1 mana vault
4 chalice of the void
4 sphere of resistance
4 smokestack
3 tangle wire
3 crucible of worlds
1 trinisphere
1 seal of cleansing
1 in the eye of chaos
1 choke
1 engineered explosives
2 goblin welder
1 balance
1 ancestral recall
1 tinker
1 demonic tutor
1 vampiric tutor
1 duplicant
1 sundering titan
1 karn silver golem

sideboard(15)

4 leyline of the void
1 tormod's crypt
1 yixlid jailer
2 choke
1 in the eye of chaos
3 ancient grudge
2 ray of revelation
1 engineered explosives

Overall i was pretty happy with how the list was.  The only card that i really questioned and was a last minute add was the 1 maindeck choke. I never really saw it in any of my matches and never really needed or wanted it.  If I were to play the deck again it would definitely be a second engineered explosives.  As for the sideboard, the cards that were really good for me were the 1 in the eye of chaos, 1 explosives, the ray of revelations and the ancient grudges.  I personally thought that there would be a lot of mono blue at the tourney, thats why i had choke in the main and board.  They could easily be something else, and for the ichorid hate it could be anything.  The jailer came in verses the workshop mirrior and did some damage, maybe it should just be like 3 -4 of them.

Owen, a belated congrats on the finish.  Did you ever get Raven's Crime + Life from the Loam online?

Yea I had it a few times, once vs stax when he had 2 Sphere of Resistance and no lands left so each turn id just Raven's Crime the card he drew or Wasteland if it was a land. Once vs combo I ripped apart his hand before getting 3 Demigods. And against landstill I resolved Intuition very early for Strip Crime Loam/Urborg.
