Dave P Baum gives out the sweetest proxies.  Are there any special plans for a holiday themed post tournament feast?

I will be home for this one, YAY!  Though sadly I am leaving the next day so no double tourney weekend for me.  Ah well, it will be good to catch up and reveal loads of "insane tech".

Barring some horrible event, we will definitely be there.  It's been a while but it'll be fun to play Vintage again.  Thanks for taking over for Nat with these announcements.  Take it easy man.

It is good to hear that some people are getting pumped for this event. I am trying to work out some type of food situation with Turkey Drum sticks. I want to hand them out to the MVP's of the event, just like in the NFL. I am also trying to work something out where the winner receives a round 1 bye at the Warzone Mox Emerald Tourney the following Day.

It should make for a good weekend of Holiday gaming.

You should see if you can get the aftertournament catered by Country Buffet or something.  I and I'm sure others would be glad to pitch in another $5-10 to have a good old fashioned sit-down turkey dinner with some gamers.  Why be elitist and just give out drumsticks to the T8?

Also, just so you know, Boston Market caters too.

I'm interested to hear how the Round 1 bye thing turns out.  Nam, any word from the WarZone on this one?

Looks like I'll be celebrating this year with Trog dawg and the crew!
Also, since the weekend before we'll be eating Primanties, on this weekend can we do Thurmans?

Back to Back Vintage events in Ohio FTW!

You dominate this dojo and you get a round 1 bye at the Warzone tourney the very next day!

So far we are 50% on having a turkey deep fryer + other fixins at this event.

These back to back tournaments need more hype.  I have been looking forward to them for two months now.

The Hero Zone is so good.

I don't think we can get the turkey deep fryer, but that shouldn't deter people from a good day of gaming.

BOOOOM!!!!!

If you plan on attending the WarZone tourney the following day accommodations can be made to crash at my good friend Ed Brain's hizzy. We are going to be cube drafting and boozing it up most likely.

Are you sure you don't want to just mail me your entry fee and stay home?

A few reasons people should com to this event.
-We will be cube drafting at Big Eddy Brain's house all weekend!
-There is a car load of big ballers coming in from Wisconsin and Chi Town!
-The HeroZone is awesome! It is super clean, well managed, and there is plenty of tables.
-Daly's has 1 dollar drafts.
-If you win you get Cash Money and a first round buy at the WarZone Mox Tourney.

Seriously, Vintage is fun and I guarantee you'll have a blast if you show up.

There are multiple people staying at My friend's house that are attending both tourney's. If you're coming from far away and need a place to crash shoot me a pm or post up. If you stay at Ed's you'll be able to snuggle with LordHomerCat. Kid is soft as a kitten.

If anybody is going from SW Ohio I would be happy if you would let me tag along even though I might not get to play depending on how my money this week goes. I have no gas money to offer either so be warned of that.

Single day, both days or even if I have to stay all week. It doesnt matter to me.

Lyle, didn't you hike the Appalachian trail?  I bet if you started walking now, you'd make it to Sandusky by Saturday.  From there people would be able to drive you around.

Anyway, I hope you can make it - these tournies and the associated activities will be insane!

Who all are coming out for these?  Michigan are you in?  What about Pittsburgh?

Pittsburgh may be out.
We might be doing Philly Saturday due to several us having family obligations Sunday....
Still trying to hash out all of the details. We're either doing Ohio or Philly Saturday for sure though.

Although we should consider trying to take some prizes back to PA... getting sick of our moxen going across the border Wink

Thats very true. I can atleast hike it up to Columbus from here in about a day and a half.

IS anybody going from columbus that wouldnt mind me tagging along and not contributing anything to it?

IF that fails there is a slight chance I would leave thursday afternoon after dinner and hike up route 27 hoping for some lucky hitches and try to get there in time. I think it might be possible, but at the same time it could epic fail.

Lyle, there have been many rumors flying around that Willy Milton is in Columbus and is looking for transport up to these tournaments as well.  Perhaps you and he could coordinate something with your teammates who live in the area?

It's with an "ie" dammit. I'm not a whale. Just ask your respective mothers about my figure.

Anyhow, yes, I'm trying but it's looking pretty bad. Haz-Matt is rolling out to the area tomorrow because that's where his fam is, but my fam is here in cbus, which is why I'm here. The last out seems to be convincing Steve he wants to do this. If I can just get him to do the Saturday event, then I'll be in a position to presume upon someone's hospitality for the following tourney. I might just Greyhound it.

OK, so if I walk to CBus from Dayton, you can put me in your greyhound luggage, then we can ride back with Haz-Mat.

If you're going back to Chicago after everything is said and done, I'm pretty sure you can ride with us Monday since there's a spot in the car.  Additionally, if you can get there Saturday, I would think you can come hang out in Sheffield with Twaun and Ed and us out-of-towners and stuff.

Good luck convincing Steve, it would be cool for him to show up as well.
