Question about Master of Etherium + Karn

I was thinking of running Master of Etherium and Karn in the same deck, and wanted to know the synergy, or antisynergy between them. If I have both on the table, and I use Karn to turn my mox into a 0/0, would it become a 1/1 based on Master's effect, or would it die immediately to its built in state based effect?

There would never be a time when it would be a 0/0.  It would immediately become a 1/1; you don't look at the results piecemeal.  Karn, Silver Golem applies in layer 6b and Master of Etherium applies in layer 6d.
