This is my first attempt at card design for Magic, (Designed plenty of cards for Redemption way back when I was National champ.) so be gentle. From the time I started playing Magic, my favorite casual deck was always some incarnation of White Weenie, so I created a creature that I would like to cast both for effect and flavor.

Here goes nothing:

Cloaked Marksman
1WW
Creature - Human Monk
2/2
Cloaked Marksman comes into play with two arrow counters.
W, Remove an arrow counter: Destroy target creature that has dealt damage to a creature with power of 2 or less this turn.
"Only the cries of the innocent can drown out the voice of my God."

It certainly needs reworded a bit, but it captures the basic idea I was going for. Someone who does what's considered wrong to serve the greater good. It might be a touch overpowered, but I'm not convinced of that yet. In a White Weenie deck, it would essentially give two of your guys a one-shot version of Deathtouch and leave you with a Grizzly Bear, which seems fair.

Thoughts and/or suggestions?

Thanks,
Dave

If it's cloaked, it should have shroud, although i'm not sure if shroud is a white ability.

White creatures almost never get shroud on a permanent basis - there's a couple guys with " {U}: -this- gains shroud UEOT".  There's Calciderm, but... you know.

Yeah, white mostly prevents targeting as a "rules setting" ability (Privileged Position, Leonin Abunas) or via protection.  A random monowhite dork with straight-up shroud doesn't really work.

Favourable Destiny gave White a type of Shroud effect waaaay back in Mirage

Enchanted creature gets +1/+2 as long as it's white.
Enchanted creature can't be the target of spells or abilities as long as its controller controls another creature.

So we could have

Cloaked Marksman
1WW
Creature - Human Monk
2/2
Cloaked Marksman can't be the target of spells or abilities as long as its controller controls another creature and comes into play with two arrow counters.
W, Remove an arrow counter: Destroy target creature that has dealt damage to a creature with power of 2 or less this turn.

I don't want to poop on anyone's tiger or anything, but aside from 'not feeling' very White, shroud is so, so, so infrequently seen in White creatures.  White deals in protection but not so much shroud.

If shroud's a must-have you could cost it like 1(w/u)(w/u) and say something like "Cardname has shroud if you paid U to play this spell".

How is a hidden assassin a White card?

I think I see a way to the same sort of effect.  What if rather than a tap and kill, you make this guy a Martyr?  He's willing to kill himself to destroy something that damaged your team.  Give it Flash and "When this comes into play, destroy target creature that dealt damage to a creature you control this turn."

For that matter, White tends notsomuch to destroy creatures (forget wog... :/) and more often to misplace them - RFG, bottom of library stuff.  I'd almost rather see this guy Condemn something than destroy it.

I knew my suggestion was a little out there; the closest effect is Orzhov Euthanist.  That said, I like the reverse effect.  I could see either the Flash CIP version or maybe one that sacrifices to do it.
