This article is the September/October Metagame Report. I've aggregated all of the tournament data from September and October and analyzed it, so you don't have to!
I also highlight three notable decks that did well in this time period, including some surprising card choices.

Nice read, I'm actually suprised MUD is so popular (and not 5c approaches). One thing I'm curious about, out of the Oath decks, how many of them are Tyrant Oath? Tyrant and Akroma Oath are two entirely different beasts, I'd be interested in knowing which is more successful overall.

Good question : The Oath lists were almost entirely Akroma or Hellkite or both. If memory serves, I saw no Tyrant Oath in this dataset.
We'll see if the Oath phenomena persists.
I was surprised by the presence of MUD as well. It makes sense though -- there are alot of Workshop players out there, and playing with MUD or MUD/r is probably better than whatever junk Stax deck you could throw together.

Can you post or point to any recent MUD lists? There are a lot of ways to go with the deck and I'm curious what's been putting up results. I'm assuming they're the more aggro oriented builds: Metalworker, Juggs, Trikes, etc? Why do you think MUD (with or without a Red splash) is better than other Stax lists?
It seems like it's really meta-dependant, since adding other colors can really help out against certain things. Ancient Grudge against a lot of opposing Shop decks, Ray of Revelation if you're expecting a lot of Oath/Back to Basics/Energy Flux, Swords to Plowshares against a lot of Tinker->Colossi, etcetcetc. I've done well with a build to begin with, then did horrible with the same build just because the meta shifted a bit.

I understand what MUD is as an archetype, but I don't know what the acronym is. Help!?

You are playing one color, brown, which means you get to load up on ancient tombs and city of traitors to ease the deck's reliance on workshop. Simply put, playing MUD means you won't lose to your manabase.

It's not an acronym according to this:
