Hi all, very recently we had a Mox Jet tournament here in beautiful Boulder, CO. The tournament was enough of a sucess that we're going to do all 9 of the Power!

Next up, a very much Near Mint Unlimited Timetwister! Other prizes TBA

In addition, first round byes will be awarded to the next P9 tournament to the finalists of this one!

Where:
Time Warp Comics & Games

3105 28th St
Boulder, CO 80301
(303) 443-4500

When: Sunday, Dec 7th. Registration at 11AM, Tournament at Noon.

What?:
Type 1 / Vintage Constructed - 15 Proxies permitted, .50 cents each additional Proxy. $15 to get in.

proxies must be legibly written, with all relevant rules text. If using slips of paper every sleeve must also contain an equal sized slip of paper, if using foils as proxies, every card in deck must be foil, any variance of these conditions will result in Game or Match Loss.

If you received a BYE Token at the last Power 9 Series Tourney, you must present a BYE Token at Registration or forfeit the award.

Sweet!

Glad to see you and Ed decided to skip the cash events and go straight to power.

I'll be there!

The last event was well run and a lot of fun.  This one shouldn't be any different.  Unfortunately, I won't be able to make this time around.  Can't get away from my store during the holiday shopping season.  I will make a prediction though....Misty "I'm gonna smack you guys silly" Brown will take this one down unless Lou "The Sandwich Puncher" Christopher's hand is healed from the last event.   Wink

Good luck to everyone!

This is going to be an excellent event I can't wait and I have no idea what I want to play. That proxy rule is definitely bull shit. The logic is flawed I understand there is a difference between foil Ancestral Recall and a foil land, but still there are many busted cards that come in foil that I would want to draw every game. I know I used this argument last time, but it is still valid. I will for sure be playing my foil Yawgmoth's "Bitch, I ain't yo baby daddy" Will at this tournament.

Brennen

P.S. Here's my prediction I agree with Carl that Misty will win, but only after dream crushing me in top eight.

I hope the prize support is more than a Timetwister for $15. I know Brennen threw the Grim Tutor in to spice things up last time, but there was still at least a Mox on the table.

Regardless, I'll be there. And without Carl destroying me on T1 in two games in top 8 this next time, I should probably take this bitch down!

Hey Ya'll

There will probably be dual lands for the taking as well, i'm still in the process of buying other cards for this and other events in Time Warp's Power 9 Series or Tournaments. I'll be sure to sweeten the pot, no worries there...

As for the foil proxy thing i really don't know how to handle it. I've been told that the foil proxy thing is easy to cheat with as your foilies stand out from the crowd of other cards making it easy to stack the deck or shuffle til you feel it....if you guys have a better idea for the foil proxy thing let me know, i'm open to suggestions. I'm aware that many real cards come in foil and you should be allowed to play them, so i'm torn about what to do on this one.....do we just allow foil proxies in any number, and if we catch you cheating feed you to the Kraken? Let me know what some of you think....peas...

I think the foil proxy thing is a non issue. If someone is to be found cheating, they should be dq'ed. I don't think anyone should be found guilty beforehand. Who are we really worried about cheating? I think this is a want to be power flex by the likes of Steve, who could probably actually get away with cheating Wink.

While I don't have a problem w/ the prize support, I can see some people arguing that $15 for a Mox is fine, but $15 for a Timetwister is not, especially if we top 30 people again.

Timetwister is not the most desireable/played card, but the point of the tourney should be to get together with friends and catch a bu..., I mean have a good time and play some Magic. Am I wrong? I don't see any reason to be whining about $15. I just wish I was there to play.

What's up to all my homies in the crew.

Good luck Trav.

calm down lou. it's more due to all the whining I hear due to a specific foil lotus.

but if you're all cool with that thing getting played . . .

What's up Josh? How are things going out in OR? I am kind of hurt for the lack of luck you offered me. Peace.

Josh thanks for the support - wish you could make this one!

I am fine with paying 15 for a twister, as it will be a blast slinging moxes all day. I think the whole point is to just try and build the scene and make sure that we keep holding these events.

I heard from Ed yesterday we may be graced with the presence of CHRISTOPHER RUSH at this event, but nothing is finalized yet...

I don't know if I will get a reply in enough time but I got an email and Ed said that the event started at 1 PM. Is this true?
