A few notes. Tourney was big blow out, lost bout $100 on prizes, but oh well. About rolling for 3rd/4th place. Prize difference was $5 and both people agreed to it so I was ok. Not having a judge was I suppose incorrect, but for my first tourney oh well. No one was really forced, but I guilted them into playing due to them testing for it for a bunch of weeks as well as them promising, but oh well. Couple comments about BUG and MonoU.

I gave Schake the deck 5 minutes before the tourney, he never played it before. The deck is crazy good. Same with BUG aggro, one of the best decks I have ever played.

Do I have a better understanding how to run this type of tournament? Yes. Would I do it again, even at the potential of a loss? Yes. I love T1 and want to continue to offer it in the Pitt/Gburg area.

This version answers to so many of the popular hate packages. It's just all around solid.
In the finals against Monblue Tezz, I knew EXACTLY what hate was coming in, as the deck was designed by teammate Steve Menendian. Steve, for some reason, feels the need to have like 7 hate cards for Ichorid in his boards (thank buddy.) So playing games 2 and 3 were a bit of a nightmare. I had Needle to deal with Kegs, Crypt, Wastes or what ailed me.. Reverant Silence and Charm to deal with Propaganda and Leyline and of course some chalice action for Tormods.
Game 2 was pretty close, but I ended up getting rolled by Tezz and his hourglass. game 3, I mulled to 6 and opened a hand that was Bayou, Therapy, Reverant Silence, Unmask, Dread Return and I think a dredger! Every bit of my being said keep this hand... After roughly 5 minutes of thinking, I sent it back. (Of course I HAD to look at my draw and sure enough it was bazaar!)
I went to 5 and before I even looked at them, I said do you just wanna work out a split... I had a good bit of hate going on and so did he. It was agreed and I felt his deck would have the best shot at winning out.

You might have more people show if you schedule around other events in your area.   The Cleaveland guys definitely would have shown, had the Warzone event not already been posted.  Just saying.

I had scheduled this originally for the 8th of Nov. and had like 6 date changes, if it wasnt this weekend, probably would have not had it till after the new year. So, once the 1.x PTQ season is announced, look for my annoucement for another tourney.
