This is basically a TPS variant that abuses Shaman's Trance with Yawg Win in order to prevent fizzling. It also uses Brain Freeze as well as Tendrils to load up your opponent's yard for more fuel for Shaman's Trance/Yawg Win or as an alternate win condition. Here's the list: //Lands:10 4 City of Brass 4 Gemstone mine 1 Tolarian Academy 1 Underground sea
//Spells: 50 1 LED 1 Brainstorm 1 Ancestral Recall 1 Timetwister 1 Wheel of Fortune 2 Hurkyl's Recall 4 Thoughtseize 4 Force of Will 3 Grim Tutor 1 Chain of Vapor 1 Brain freeze 1 Tendrils of Agony 2 Shaman's Trance 4 Cabal Ritual 1 Yawgmoth's Will 1 Demonic Tutor 1 Vampiric Tutor 4 Dark Ritual 1 Mox Ruby 1 Black Lotus 1 Mox Jet 1 Mox Emerald 1 Mox Pearl 1 Mox Sapphire 1 Time Walk 3 TfK 1 Windfall 1 Mana Crypt 1 Mana Vault 1 Merchant Scroll 1 Mystical Tutor 1 Ponder
Sideboard: 1 Brain freeze 1 Tendrils of Agony 2 Forbidden Orchard (against Oath) 2 Gaea's Blessing (against Painter's Stone) 1 Tinker 1 DSC 4 Extirpate (against Ichorid) 3 Quicken (In case you need to speed something out to win on your opponent's turn like a tendrils)
Removed 1 grim tutor and added 1 chain of vapor per suggestion by nineisnoone.

Can you really rely on the opponent having useful/playable cards to steal off Trance/Will. It seems like a shaky premise to me. Not to mention the to start it up is a lot to ask for in a reasonably short time frame.

It's a deck designed for a combo heavy metagame so hopefully, yeah they would have cards you can steal including mana acellerants to make up for the 2R. I wouldn't play this deck outside of a combo heavy metagame though. It's terrible against decks like 9sphere and Ichorid but good against any storm deck and Oath.

Just to clarify, it only works if they have cards with Flashback or if you have an active Yawgmoth's Will correct?
Would it work if they had an active Yawgmoth's Will, and you played Trance in response?
Also I've never found 4x Grim Tutor to be needed (maybe 2-3) and you want at least 1 Chain of Vapor. It lets you bounce any permanent and it also is a good storm card.

Would it work if they had an active Yawgmoth's Will, and you played Trance in response? Nop, it only allows you to play cards as if they were in your graveyard, you still need Will to get to use their graveyards. But you do get to shut off their Will for only 2R.

And here I've been playing with my free Tormod's Crypts all this time, how silly. Seriously, do you often cast Yawgmoth's Will and think "Man, if only I paid 2R to use their graveyard too, then I could actually win here" ?

I've seen people fizzle on Yawg Win before, the Shaman's Trance is just there to help prevent that fizzling. Like I said, it's a deck for a combo heavy metagame that has Shaman's Trance as a last ditch resort.

This is basically a TPS variant that abuses Shaman's Trance with Yawg Win in order to prevent fizzling As I have no idea what Shaman's Trance is, I have no idea whether or how to comment on this deck, nor do I care to look it up myself. Please let us know what non-mainstream cards are, especially if they are vital to your game plan. :/

However, it would be nice if this site had some type of card tag system like many others. Even the parent site SCG has that.
