Personally I think this card is great in the right deck. The most powerful creatures in vintage are rather demanding color-wise. The archetype is aggro of course. I remember variants of aggro control with cities and gems. For somebody who uses 25-30 creatures I think this card can be a very handy mana source.

I believe it should be used in decks with a lot of creatures though. For those who followed my gaddock theme deck, do you think this card opens more options concerning creatures from different colors. The more direct question would be; a 5 color aggro control were you can pick whatever creature you desire depending on your strategy.

Yep.  That matches just about nothing.

Frankly, I think fetches and duals are much more effective than this is.

'An' comes before words that begin in vowel sounds.  Grammar: use it or lose it

I'd take City of Brass and Gemstone Mine over this thing.

Unless you play just mana sources and creatures, this thing is rubbish.

it is nice for a fully powered sliver deck. still, not really t1 viable. but fun casual for sure! I'll get a set asap.
