I recently got an MTGO account, and I'm trying to design some low-cost decks that I can have fun with in the casual room.  I have a fun little Jund deck that has cute interactions and synergies, but some people just get their rocks off by bringing uncasual decks to the casual room.

Or maybe standard five-color control is casual for some people?  I dunno.

The problem with designing a casual deck for MTGO vs designing a casual deck to play with friends is that you know what decks your friends play.  In the MTGO casual room, anything and everything is fair game to be played against.  So I want a deck that has the tools to beat anything.

Meaning it will have blue in it, of course.  I did always like the U/R Wildfire decks of standard a few years ago, so I was thinking something along the lines of...

//Draw--10
4x Compulsive Research
4x Ponder
2x Tidings

//Control--18
4x Counterspell
4x Mana Leak
3x Pyroclasm
3x Volcanic Hammer
4x Wildfire

//Win--4
4x Magnivore

//Mana--28
3x Izzet Signet
3x Mind Stone
12x Island
10x Mountain

Hold down creatures with Pyroclasm and counter key spells until you can blow everything up with a Wildfire.  Magnivore drops out of nowhere for a ton of hasty damage, and he always survives a Wildfire.  Unsure if I should make room for another win condition like Meloku or Keiga or something--but the deck is pretty tight.

I would obviously get Steam Vents and Shivan Reefs if I didn't want to spend more than $7 on this deck.  Same with the Hammer.  There's probably a better burn spell for that slot, but it's cheap and it works.

Any suggestions for improving this deck, keeping in mind that I don't want to spend much money on it?

-Spell Snare over Mana Leak?
-Some mana fixing i.e. Izzet Boilerworks
-Include an LD angle with Stone Rain and/or Molten Rain?

Well, don't play counterspells either if you're worried about whiners.

The whole, "I don't want people to hate me" was my mentality in making a Jund deck that cares about sacrificing and creatures dying.

It falls to R/W Kithkin, 5c Control, G/B Elves, etc.

I figure I can bring a little more power to the table, if I have to worry about my Vein Drinker being countered and my Sprouting Thrinax being bounced by a Cryptic Command.

I do like the Boilerworks, I had forgotten about that.  I was also thinking Terramorphic Expanse for some turn 1 mana-fixing.  I'll test both, but it might be an either-or situation.
