My attempt at hybridizing a Painter shell with the Intuition-based combo-control Vault-Key approach. MD Red blasts, fairly consistent manabase, Reconstruction for use with Inuition, green in the board for Goyfs for aggro, etc. It seems like the blasts and multiple approaches outweigh the 2nd-tier stuff Tezzeret runs - Top, etc.

And where are the Intuitions?

You can also play Trinket for Intuition:
- 2 Voltaic Key
- 2 Reconstruction
+2 Trinket Mage
+1 Transmute Artifact
+ 1 Sensei's Top or Needle, or explosives , ...

I tried this, and what I found was that I ended up with too many "Key+Painter" or "Time Vault+Grindstone" hands, so I just cut Key/Vault for another Painter and another Grindstone, and it worked a lot better.  Not saying you have to do the same, but it did work a lot better for me.

I'm trying Library of Alexandria and 3 Intuitions.


EDIT:

Okay after testing here are my conclusions:

The times that you get Painter + Key outweighs the times that you benefit from dodging Pithing Needle. You are better off running 4 Painters and 3 Grindstone.
I run 2 Intuitions, it seems to be the right number. 3 or 4 is way too much because you don't want to keep on drawing them when you could be drawing business spells.
3 REB is enough if you want to splash black. If not, 6 REBs would be the right amount for the protection.

You don't need reconstruction.

Note: Like all Painter.dec the blasts aren't that good until you resolve a Painter or if you are playing mirror or Tez. So sometimes they sit dead in your hand. My solution is to run 3 Thoughtseize and 3 Blasts.
