So after selling my cards for the 3rd time, I'm back in the game again a year later. I love blue and I love drains so naturally I looked at playing Tezz.
Then I showed up to the shop and realized that no one wants to play against the vault combo. And it's really not fun considering most of the other decks I'm playing against are no where near that power level. So, I decided I would try to play something (vintage legal) that I like that is reasonably powerful and fun for everyone else to play against. It will be (semi) powered and run drains, FoW, Yawgwill, etc. but I also want to play certain "fun" blue cards that are really really bad (Arcanis, Decree of Silence, Upheaval, even platinum and DSC in here) so the deck is not meant to be 100% optimal. I decided I would try out something with Trix and see how it goes, since this combo seems like an appropriate power level for where I will be playing it.

This was what I drafted up, keeping in mind I don't want it to be "too good," and since I just got back into the game it has to share a decent amount of cards with my Tezz deck:

Mana:
1 Mox Sapphire
1 Mox Jet
1 Lotus
1 Sol Ring
1 Mana Vault
1 Mana Crypt
1 Tolarian
5 Fetchland
2 Underground Sea
4 Seat of the Synod
2 Island

Spells:
1 Time Walk
1 Anestral Recall
4 Mana Drain
4 FoW
1 Brainstorm
1 FoF
1 Gifts Ungiven
4 Bounce (some combination of Echoing Truth, Boomerang and Repeal)
1 Mystical Tutor
1 Tinker
1 Demonic Tutor
1 Vampiric Tutor
1 Yawgmoth's Will
4 Meditate
2 Donate
2 Commandeer
1 Upheaval

Permanents:
1 Platinum Angel
1 Darksteel Colossus
1 Arcanis
1 Decree of Silence
4 Mystic Remora
2 Illusions of Grandeur

I chose the Remora/Meditate draw engine since it works well in control, and meditate has minimal synergy with Illusions. Also it's just more fun than Intuition, TfK, etc.
Not sure which bounce spell is the best to play, I'm leaning towards Echoing truth, although I love the synergy with Repeal/Remora
I didn't like having 4/4 of Illusions/Donate as they do nothing on their own and I seemed to draw into them way too much too early. There is certainly enough draw/tutor/control to find them, but I'm not sure on the exact numbers.
Any suggestions, or other fun blue (or artifact?) cards to add to it? I considered cards like Venser, Sower of Temptation, but didn't find them that useful.
Also there probably isn't enough mana, but I don't want to cut anything...any ideas?
