Ok, so... thumbs up on the location.  This is all of 5 minutes from my house.  Very cool.

That said, I probably can't make 9/12, so that blows for me, personally.  Good luck with the new location and unless I can change my plans, I'll see you at the next one.

This should be cool. A cheap con with a Vintage tourney? I'm in if nothing comes up.

I won't be able to make it as my brother is getting out of basic training that weekend and I'll be in Texas.  The other NY'ers that I've spoken won't be making it either.

So AJ, this is your chance to create a near insurmountable lead.

Yeah for some reason this weekend doesn't work for a lot of people, Elias has a commitment and I have a wedding to attend which is unfortunate, three straight weekends of T1 would have been awesome.

My plans involve being outside, so if it rains, I'll be there...

This weekend works for me, as all of my commitments are due the Friday before this event ^.^ I'll be traveling with Sean Lind, Eric Markowitz, and Brandon Sedgewick. Count me in for this Saturday too, as I need a break from working lol.

(14 straight days of working makes a cranky FAVO)

I failed miserably this weekend to recruit anyone to take me (actually, the main task is to wake me up in time for these early tournaments) to Bluebell, so maybe I might make it here.

Will all the NJ players please remember to call Simon and wake him up on Saturday. His number is (609)867-5309, Jenny might answer! We start an hour later, so let him get his beauty sleep! But if he sleeps in that kayak helmet, let the phone ring for awhile! Besides, he needs more beer brewing supplies.

Well Mike, looks like your raindance was successful.  I'll be there tomorrow...

EDIT:  Mike, you're the man for making it rain.

Mike, thanks for another great event.  Looking forward to the TO report.

Final Standings by deck type:

1 - CB/Top
2 - Oath
3 - Tezz
4 - Oath
5-8 - B/G/R Beats, TPS, B/R Shop, Steel City Vault

32 players showed up for this one.  I split with Chas Hinkle in the finals; my article on SCG tomorrow discusses both of our decklists.

Props to AJ for another top 8 and a big lead in the Champs points, Glackin for another T8 with Beats, Chas for not being in my bracket this time so we could split in the finals, and of course Mike for putting this thing together and making our days a little, um, brighter with that Miss DCI appearance  Very Happy

miss DCI needs to show up more.

congrats to team D3G for putting another 3 players in the T8... and splitting the finals. Can we go 1 tournament w/o putting a player in the final table?! Doubt it.

I calculated what the leaderboard should look like after 9/12.  This includes my missing 12 points from the June event.  EDIT:  I got the correct numbers on Jon & Eric.  Thanks Josh!

Obviously, this is unofficial, but it should be close.  Anyway, here goes:

AJ - 113
Eric - 104
Nick - 100
Matt - 85
Chas - 84
Jon - 76
Josh - 74

This is still a reasonably tight race between AJ, Eric, and Nick with two events to go...  next year I have to make sure I don't skip any events, and play some side tournaments  Sad
