Hello all.  I'm moving to Denver, Colorado this coming week, and am looking for places/tournaments to play in.  I'll be checking out the shops stickied in the "Places to Play" thread, but am looking for more suggestions.  Does CO have a strong T1 scene?

I also saw that a T1 tournament in Boulder has been unfortunately canceled.  Are there any other T1 tournaments run in the surrounding region?

Hi Sven, and welcome to Colorado. Also, to the mana drain since your posts show you're just getting started.

The recent tournament that was "cancelled" is merely delayed. There will be a Mox Emerald tournament run before the end of September in Boulder, and I will have a definate date and tournament announcement thread posted within the week.

In the meantime, there's a zero proxy T1 event at Black Gold on the 13th --->  http://www.themanadrain.com/index.php?topic=38397.0. Carl also runs weekly sanctioned events for vintage.

Rather than sing praises about the local scene, I'll let you judge for yourself if you come to these.

Sounds good.  I'm fine with zero proxy as well, although I'll have to get a bit creative, as I'm only half-powered.  Looking forward to it.

My plan was to hold a mox emerald 10 proxy event in the UMC, the student center of the University of Colorado at Boulder. In asking about starting a student group so that I could rent out the space, I had problems showing the academic merit of such a group.

Just another snag. Travis Spero and I talked last night, and he has no problem getting us the space we need. Expect a post shortly. Hope to see you at Carls!
