I seem to always end up with my Inkwell/Shpinx in hand, how do you guys keep this from happening? Do you end up hardcasting? brainstorm it back on top?

It's not like you have a ton of options at that point.  You have a singleton Brainstorm + a fetch or tutor to shuffle it away, a singleton Timetwister, you can hardcast it or (most likely) pitch it to Force of Will.

Vendillion Clique is pretty good in putting it back into your lib.

If i come across a brainstorm, i put it back that way.  if i rip it later, i have no problem with hardcasting.  or pitch it to force or misdirection

I am apparently a huge idiot because I run Darksteel Colossus.  That man can be Thirsted or discarded to end of turn step if you are similarly awful enough to run him.
