Is this card a viable sideboard choice as an answer to Tinkered Colossi/Inkwells?  It costs BBB with kicker.  It just so happens that one of the format's engines produces BBB.  It's a mana more than Tariff and Edict, but it leaves a 2/2 body on the table.  Since this card would work best alongside Dark Ritual it would be a sideboard option in storm decks, every swing with him means one less storm is necessary for the lethal Tendrils.  Thoughts?

If Tinker decks normally get the inkwell out on turn 3-4 then yes but that is never the case is it?.  I prefer innocent blood where everyone sacs a creature for   {B}.  He still might fit but that is a huge decision.  If you dont have creatures then the blood is just perfect, and might also add to your storm count.  I am partial to innocent blood  Smile

If my memory serves me correctly there is Innocent Blood as well as a B 1/1 with the same ability and also you could play Diabolic Edict or the like instead.  Sure you don't get a creature with any of them for the most part, but TBH having something not being cost prohibitive manawise is a godsend because you really don't want to be boarding in partially dead cards in numbers that only deal with half (if that) of their win conditions?  If you want to play it go for it, but it won't be widely adopted since as Wizards intended it to be, it is a powerful card but it's mana cost being BBB makes it tough to get to even with Dark Ritual in your deck that would take away from a turn where you could potentially combo off since you don't run infinite lands and mana sources that stay around.

I apologize for this post as for some reason my computer never loaded the picture from the previous post and I tried copying the pic myself, it never "appeared" thus making this post redundant.

I think putting this guy in a combo deck is the wrong choice.

This guy seems workable in a SuiBlack shell though, its an Edict on legs for one more mana.  Good not great.
