Unfortunately, nothing exists in green or red, for obvious reasons. White has plenty of options though, from Swords to Plowshares to Seal of Cleansing, as does Black in Deathmark or Diabolic Edict.

plenty of artifacts and land though. try ensnaring bridge or Maze of Ith. You won't be able to attack into it though.

Not strictly true. Green has Seeds of Innocence, red has mass artifact destruction. There's also Whirlwind, Breaking Point, and other 'bad' cards.

Seeds of Innocence is an important one, and it's also good against Stax. If you want something more narrow, consider Kill Switch, although you can't use it with Null Rod.

I know some red-green players I played against used Sculpting Steel to make their own Sphinx.
To be fair, the whole reason I was playing Sphinx is because of the large influx of RG Beats decks in my metagame. Then everyone picked up on it. Sculpting Steel is a pretty good "answer".

I've been thinking of trying a few Pulverize in the board. Sulfuric Vortex has been something I want to try, too.

There are decent proactive answers, like Red Elemental Blasts (to counter the Tinker) or possibly Stigma Lasher.
Kavu Predator could still be useful after the Sphinx hits play. Also of note, if the opponent blocks with a Sphinx when a Predator attacks, the Predator gets the +1/+1 counters before it deals damage, because of the Sphinx's first strike, which can be relevant.

Sphinx of the Steel Wind does not tap though.
I suppose there is Icy Manipulator.

For artifact creatures in general, there's always the slieu of general artifact disruption (Tin Street Hooligan, Ancient Grudge, Seal of Primordium, Rack and Ruin, Naturalize, Ignot Chewer... I mean, all the way down to Crumble or old-school Uktabi Orangutan if you feel so inclined). Lately I've been having a lot of success with a splash of black and Doomblade, mainly because people don't expect their Phyrexian Collossus to die to a 1B instant. It's not exactly optimal, given how Inky laughs at it, DSC just does it's face smashing thing anyway, and Sphinx can't be targeted. Edict is overall the better splash card for black, but Doom Blade can be fun and unexpected. Potato mentioned the white splash for STP, Seal of Cleansing, all a solid option.
A blue splash has access to all kinds of goodies, from seal of removal to unsummon to echoing truth (the anti token as well). My blue splashes have also occasionally benefited from dropping extract into the mix, because extract can give you a decent idea of your opponents hand, nail one of vault / key, or a monster like sphinx if you see they have tinker in their hand. Still, not the common solution and it doesn't help if it hits play.
The only on-color card that actually still acts like a solution to the sphinx for the RG beats player is drop of honey... (last time I used it, it never targeted because it was a sacrifice effect, unless WOTC has pulled out their errata marker sense ages ago) and... well I suppose technically it does kill the sphinx, eventually, having an enchantment that reads G: all your stuff dies, and hopefully the sphinx dies before it kills you... Also, Duplicant! (Or the cheaper version: sculpting steel).

Edlrazi Monument +Donate for the comedy value. Also, Worldslayer of Sword of Kaldra work,oo (but not with Null Rod.) Also, splashing black for the Nightmare the exiles G/W creatures is siome good.

Sphinx of the Steel Wind does not tap though.

better way to tap it would be Touchstone or relic barrier, true it doesnt tap lands or creatures but its way faster. that and meekstone would work, but if you are looking for a one card answer that would scuplting steel or goblin replicator
