As you can tell from subject title im playing a   {B} {R} deck with  kaervek the merciless as my general, this is my first post to tmd so i apologize if i goof up formatting skills somewhere.
the deck is built for multiple players but can go 1 on 1 to other decks also. i usually play edh with the Richmond Comix crew... so a few might recognize the deck. i think my deck is pretty solid but would always love advice from others outside of my playgroup.
let me spit the deck out for everyone then i will go in to a few details why you see some cards in here including my alt win.

kaervek the merciless

12 swamps
8 mountains
arid mesa
scalding tarn
marsh flats
verdant catacombs

diabolic tutor
kaerveks torch
dismantle*
Wheel of fortune
Demonic Tutor
Damnation

crypt rats
xathrid demon
ob nixilis the fallen

hellhole rats
shivian dragon
doomed necromancer
halo hunter
darksteel colossus

First let me go over the alt-win something i saw back in miridon in a mtg article   using darksteel reactor/dismantle.  that alone is an awesome way to spice up colossus or to get me some  life counters on sun droplet but the other way is to take a big hit to the face and then blow up sun droplet moving all counters to reactor for the win. It's kind of a cheap win, but just an opt out.  energy chamber is just a way to speed up the counters not necessary for the 3 card combo.
The planeswalkers, i just love an ability off each
Sorin for the fast life reduction and the drain
Liliana for the tutor effects, Liliana's resurrection is not always good my  {B} {U} {R} deck has phage in there just to ruin peoples parades.
Chandra  for the 10 dmg to  player & creatures
as for the other cards,
i have  pestilence/crypt rats/mutilate for the massive token dumps i have seen hit the tables.
bloodmoon to lock down the people playing 5 color decks who tend to live off non basic lands (it does cripple me some but i have enough swamps in the deck that it shouldn't lock me down)
a few ways to kill generals and a few ways to bring stuff back from the grave.

thats all that really comes to mind at the moment please shoot some advice maybe card swapouts or other combo setups
thanks in advance -jb

Specific card replacements:

kaerveks torch: Banefire is pretty much superior to this.
impending Disaster: will likely get everyone to gang up on you. if you're going to do this sort of thing, do it right and run Obliterate.
Font of mythos: just a terrible card, even worse in multiplayer. Same goes for Mana Flare. These will also get you killed by giving the opponents too many resources.
Doubling cube: I don't know if this does enough, you need 7 mana for this to produce 2 extra. 90% or more of the time, you'll probably prefer this to be a basic land.
Everglades: also pretty bad since it's incredibly slow. Probably another card that is worse than a basic land (or an Onslaught fetch, for ObNix). Which is a shame because Everglades had SWEET art.

Thunder Dragon, if you find one, is much better than Magma Giant. Cairn Wanderer is a very good choice: it's a pretty solid creature on its own, but it's also a vampire for Blood Tribute!

Insurrection is a game-winner that I am surprised to see is absent.

I see a lot of do-nothing cards that simply don't have enough impact. I would suggest cutting these:

crypt ripper
malkir bloodwitch
heat shimmer
demigod of revenge
hellhole rats
igneous pouncer
shivan dragon

I also question whether you have enough creatures to support Xathrid Demon.

thanks for the tips, i will start doing the swap out and post an update after doing so. as for xathrid demon its not so much having the creatures to keep in him play for long its the whole fact that people see a guy his size and his ability and will immediately burn anything they can to kill him opening the table up for my general... i know thats a lot of weight to put on a card but it seems to work in my favor, i tend to throw big guys i dont mind hitting the grave out, and slipping something worst after everyone has done their counters and what not.
