Gone to Plaid Games is happy to host the first Baltimore Open
in the inner harbor of Baltimore, MD on December 19th, 2009

The event will be held at the Sheraton Inner Harbor hotel in the Baltimore Inner Harbor.

We will be holding 2 tournaments with big cash prizes over the course of the day

FIRST

$1,000 Standard Tournament

Registration: 9:00 am
Start Time: 10:00 am
Entry Fee: $25
Prizes:
1st - $400
2nd - $200
3rd-4th - $100
5th-8th - $50

Format: Swiss with cut to single-elimination top 8.

Prizes will increase if attendance reaches certain numbers. $1,000 is guaranteed.

followed by

$1,000 Extended Tournament

Get some practice in for the upcoming Extended PTQ season.

Registration: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Start Time: 1:00 pm
Entry Fee: $25
Prizes:
1st - $400
2nd - $200
3rd-4th - $100
5th-8th - $50

Format: Swiss with cut to single-elimination top 8.

Prizes will increase if attendance reaches certain numbers. $1,000 is guaranteed.

Both tournaments will be sanctioned.  We will add more details on this as we get them.


We will also include a Vintage Tournament in the afternoon for Baltimore players looking for a Vintage fix, dependent upon space requirements of the 2 main events.  Details to come for this tournament.


Doors open at 9:00
Decklists will be required for all tournaments
We will be on-site to buy and sell singles and packs throughout the day.
Trading is always allowed, but please do not buy or sell cards in the tournament area.

Ok, we are going to postpone this event.  I've been getting tons of emails of people telling me they can no longer make it.  I REALLY hate to do it, as I was looking forward to the tournaments, but it seems like no one is going outside on Saturday and they probably shouldn't, so we will talk to the hotel and try to postpone it to another date.

I know it's last minute, so if anyone sees this please tell people you know who were still thinking of going.  I GREATLY apologize for any inconvenience to anyone, but we just feel it's the right way to go considering the size of the storm coming straight for us.
