Awesome videos. Tragic misplay at 7:30 of G2 to FoW the SoR?  Exclamation

Thank you!

There were a couple of misplays from both sides, that's true. Lot of tension going on between Guillem and Xavier!

Regarding the videos, I still have 6 more to edit, so I have a lot of of margin for practice. I'm a total editing n0_0b Very Happy I use the iMovie aplication that came with my laptop. If someone knows a better software, I'd love to try it. Any kind of suggestions will be appreciated, so don't be shy!

Anyways, G3 should be uploaded by tomorrow, so stay tuned!

Cheers,

Great job! It's fun, even if just to watch people play...

Suggestions, check these out: http://www.mtgthesource.com/forums/showthread.php?17241-[Videos]-LCL3-April-Barcelona-(La-Mquina-del-Temps)-17-04-10

It's cool to have life totals and you can easily cut some unimportant stuf like shuffling etc.

Very well done and thanks!

Updated with the 3rd game from the quarterfinals. Tomorrow I'll start with the semis!

Regarding Enric's videos, he's really good at editing videos and I've already asked him what software he's using. Mine seems to have certain limitations and that sucks! I've already cut lot of the Top, Brainstorm, Tutoring, etc... but sometimes it's also good to show "the thinking" Razz

Will improve my editing skills!

I've added the 1st game from the semifinals. Do you think the zoo player will be able to defeat Guillem and his Repeal Tendrils?

Thanks again for all your kind words.

Did the Zoo player know what his opponent was playing? That was an awful hand to keep.  Sad .  Thanks again for the videos. They are exciting to watch!

I guess he didn't, since it was his first Vintage tournament ever. I asked him after the semifinals what match ups did he met during the swiss, and he started with "3 Noble Fish" and then I already knew why he top8ed Razz

Cool to have the videos. I must say that the audio was a bit much, however (assuming the videos beyond the first had music).

I really liked the audio, particularly the first clip, but I guess this will differ for everyone.

At 1:50 in game three it looked like dude on the left was playing topless. I was like WTF? Those Europeans are weird!

LOL!

Regarding the audio, since here in Catalunya we mostly speak in catalan (not spanish), it doesn't make a lot of sense to keep the original audio. On top of that, I have to add that the background noise was quite annoying due to the organization moving tables and chairs constantly. I know that the music won't like to everyone, but it does to me Razz

If you can afford it (and you run a mac), Final Cut is THE best editing software you can get. Every cut has its own tab, which makes it super fast to use while still letting you mouse click through everything for the editing noob like yourself. Its easier to fade with Final Cut too, so you don't have to separate the games with individual videos.

Oh, and color correction helps when you are either in a room full of florescent light (note: cameras HATE florescent light) or their is not enough lights in the room period. That aspect of editing takes a little more time to pick up, but once you knock it out, your videos will look amazing.

If you run a PC, I'm afraid you are out of luck. PCs blow when it comes to editing software. Although it isn't impossible to come out with a good quality video (Evan Erwin himself uses iMovie), but its not gonna have the same crispness as Final Cut can offer you.

Thank you very much for the advices! I'll try Final Cut as soon as I get my hands on it. The poing about the light is also important, I felt like moving all the time to avoid the reflexes from the cards. I guess it would it be better to use a tripod, but then you don't get to see the hands and draws. What do you guys prefer?

*Edit*
The next video won't be realeased today due to the Champions League semifinals game between FC. Barcelona and Inter Milan. GOGO BARÇA!

You could ofcourse ask the players to write down their hands (of fetch yourself two minions) so you can edit them in in text afterwards...

Awesome videos, although the first had so many misplays. The mud-player has so much unused mana...
