I rocked the keeper to an undefeated swiss and lost to oath like a hero in the top 8.
23 players was pretty surprising considering I had 3 guys who overslept and two who canceled the day of. If they had shown we would have been at 28. Which is pretty crazy...
I did not take decklists for this event. Deck registration sheets are great for a full breakdown, but I didn't think that I was going to have 23 guys show, and I didn't think that they were going to be necessary. The field featured quite a bit of Stax, with Oath and Tezz comprising the rest of the field. Jake Gans played Dredge in the main event, and I believe that he was the sole Dredge pilot there.
Alex Bertoncini was actually on U/B Tezz. I know because I lent out my test deck. He came in fifth in the main event and second in the side event with it.
I was very glad to see Travis and Hatch make it out to the event - thanks for making the trip.
I'm putting together another N.Y.S.E. Lite for September 19th. The tournament announcement, with prize support, should be up by tomorrow night.
A sincere thanks to everyone who came out to Depot today. This was a great day, and I hope that you guys had as much fun as I did...
