I started a site called deckdb.com to replace Deckcheck. I've scraped all of the Deckcheck decks and imported them to start out with. I should be mostly feature compatible with deckcheck, including some extra features like RSS feeds by format (getting event top8s) and by archetype (getting decklists). Some more features like tagging and better search (including advanced search) are to come. I've talked to a couple Vintage guys who look like they're going to help me out to make the interface a little more eye-pleasing, but it is functional right now and we are accepting and approving new event submissions.

I'm very glad to see this up.  Thank you for the effort.  Between this and Morphling, we have incredible resources availble.

I know I told you this already over IM, but seriously, thank you for this, it is really fantastic that you put this together.

thank you very much, I hope it's going to be also as huge as deckcheck.

just as addition, there is also DeckBase.net which was made by deckstats.net

So there will be more then just one database. Maybe they could work together, (just a thought)

emidln is the search function not working, or does "type in a query string" mean something other than "type in a card name"?

Looking into this now. This probably broke when I changed stuff up to support the new stylesheet.

Edit: Just checked this by searching by player (tried Stephen Menendian and Jordi Amat) and by card (tried Dark Ritual, Fastbond, Samurai of the Pale Curtain, life from the loam). Can you give me an example of something that you think should work but didn't seem to?

Cool!

One of the great things of deckcheck was that cards appeared if you hovered over cards in lists. Could that be included?

Another great thing was that you could choose how to order cards in lists: creatures together, artifacts together, or on colors, ... Could that be included too?

Thanks for the work!

Robrecht

P.S. Indeed better to work together and collect all data. Users then don't have to surf a million sites to get all info and you have more people working together, distributing workload.

Thanks for checking it out.  I searched for Goblin Lackey and then Dark Ritual and got "error on page".

EDIT:  It must have to do with the default browser on my work computer (IE 7.0.6001 etc).  Just tried it with Firefox and it worked fine.

Any interest in putting together/maintaining a Github Git project that hosts proven decks of all major archetypes and documents their changes over time?

To some of us, that is a very mean joke, and a very real (awful) thing we have to deal with =[

Don't worry, I'm designing a new front end for Brandon's DB. It will look pretty sweet very soon. Even for IE6 users.
