Eff. Yes. It's totally okay now that Sword of Blue/Green was awful. Give this guy any relevant equipment and he'll tear your goddamn house down. I heard he was taking Stoneforge Mystic to the prom this year. Eff yes!

Vintage is a lovely format, it's too bad so few people can play because the supply of power is so small.
Chess really changed when they decided to stop making Queens and Bishops. I'm just glad I got my copies before the prices went crazy.

Thrun, the Last Troll Troll Shroud Uncounterable : Regenerate 4/4 Now THAT is a fucking Magic card. Big time player in t2 and Extended for sure, and I can definitely see it creeping into Legacy. Any Vintage playability?

No. QFT. What would play it? It's too slow for Noble Fish and/or BUG.

I didn't think he'd get Vintage play, but I only play blue control, so IDK if something like noble or BUG fish would want him. Guess not

~Leonin Relicguard Creature - Cat Cleric When ~ enters the battlefield, exile target artifact or enchantment. When ~ leaves the battlefield, return the exiled card to the battlefield under its owner's control. Illus. Greg Staples #10/155 2/2 This seems pretty good, too.

Gotta love power creep
More like power leap. To have basically an identical card jump from 11/11 to 22/11 is pretty insane. Unrelated Edit: Karn's cool artwork gets a somewhat disappointing card.

Uh-oh. Evil Karn Planeswalker?
I really hope not, just look at what happened to Sarkhan and Tezz.. Somebody needs to kick Bolas' ass! I figuered it might end up being Karn but from what I see, I highly doubt that. edit: whatever happened to [Sword,Shield and Helm of] Kaldra? http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Magazine/Article.aspx?x=mtg/daily/arcana/628 the last token got me thinkin, thats all.

It better be massively full of win. Like Jace TMS powerful. Or nothing. Nothing would likely be better for the game.

Titan Forge Artifact Rare , : Put a charge counter on Titan Forge. , Remove three charge counters from Titan Forge: Put a 9/9 colorless Golem artifact creature token onto the battlefield. Illus. Svetlin Velinov #141/155 This, spoiled at mtgsalvation, is what accounts for the 9/9 token.

The marketing for this set has not been good. They keep setting up awesome expectations followed up by a "meh".

We should probably be speaking more about this guy. It's not Pithing Needle, in that it won't ever hit, say, Wasteland? But it doesn't have the 'non-mana' clause, so it hits like, LED. Or Metalworker. Or Moxen, I guess :/ It also turns off like, Jaces and Welders and shit, in case that wasn't implicit in the OP. Anyway this guy looks super relevant for anything that wants to call itself "Fish".

Ah, yeah I'm behind the curve again :) Yeah about what I thought, will get played in Fish and apparently MUD (but for real this time) and it's getting compared to Meddling Mage, only in a good way. Right on. I'd love it if the new mechanic "Living Weapon" would produce something for SFM to dick with, although I'm sure it's ability has played into the cost of most of the applicable cards. Would sort of turn Stoneforge Mystic into a Tinker you could play with Aether Vial - well, moreso than it is now, I mean like, playing an actual independent wincon with it :P For reference.

I think this is measurably better than most of the other Swords not named "Sword of Fire and Ice". Blue/green Sword is usually terrible, White/Black Sword is super situational. I like the idea of running this Sword in something like W/B Aggro-control, like a Deadguy with Stoneforge Mystics and access to the other good equipment cards, namely SoFI and the Jitte. I have this dream of untapping for my turn, Vindicating a permanent, swinging past a stupid Goyf/KotR, then Vindicating again, all on turn 4. I probably don't have many cards in hand after this, but neither will they >:D Oh and this card I find to be absolutely ridiculous; RUN FOR UR LIFE ITS EVERY TEN TURN CLOCK EVERRRR WHERES MY SCULPTED STEEL FTW EIGHT-WEB DOT DECK, NOW AND FOREVER

This set is sort of lame. It doesn't create any new archetypes, but many of the cards are certain to see play. Elves!!! may even see an appropriate amount of play despite longterm under-representation. Consider the alternative, too. They may well have printed something so stupid that even more people would leave the format. Ie. A "Phyrexian" Trinisphere could well have been printed that gave poison counters instead of adding to mana costs.
