With the printing of a few new cards in MBS, I was thinking that a mono-black control deck maybe viable again (as it was in the days of phyrexian arena in extended I believe).

This is the list I have made, with some descriptions of what and why:

Lands
4  Tectonic Edge
18 Swamp

Spells
3 Corrupt
3 Sorin Markov
2 Decimator Web
3 Consuming Vapors
3 Diabolic Tutor
3 Exsanguinate
3 Black Sun's Zenith
4 Sign in Blood
4 Sphere of the Suns
3 Go for the Throat
3 Doom Blade
4 Everflowing Chalice

Sign in Blood - the draw engine.  This is also why i don't include a set of verdant catacombs/marshflats.  The life loss can be very bad, especially against all the goblin guide/bolt/kiln fiend decks going around.

Chalice/Sphere - quick mana on turn two, and with 8 in the deck, this is quite often a turn 2 play, or turn 3 for 2 of them etc.  Also with Exsanguinate/Zenith, more mana is always useful.

Diabolic Tutor - reaching 4 mana is not hard to do, and since we don't have arena drawing us cards every turn, finding what you need now can be key.

Blade/Throat/Zenith/Consulting Vapors - the best kill in t2 atm, and vapors helps swing the board for the fatty primevial titan/eldrazi decks.

Corrupt/Exsanguinate/Sorkin/Decimator Web - the kill cards.  The idea is board control, drop sorkin, kill any 2 or less creatures, otherwise, pop to bring them down to 10, then a Sorkin and Web will finish it, or a big corrupt/exsanguinate.

Some cards I want to try, but not sure what to take out, to fit:

Liliana Vess - kinda like Sorkin, except she keeps hands in control.  Should I replace the Diabolic tutors with her?  Or some combination of?  I like how diabolic is straight to hand, no on top, thats a big deal even with 4 sign in blood.

Inquisition of Koz - I like this card alot, but I think it would be better as a sideboard card against control decks with not many creatures, and spell pierce/rebuttal/mana leak etc.  Should it be mained?  I see more creature decks than control as of late.

Mimic Vat/Abyssal - should I auto include this package?  Is it just that good?  Im trying to keep it creatureless for the zenith's, but, this combo is good.  What would i drop?

SB cards:

Vampire Hex mage for planeswalker decks?
Duress for control?
Phyrexian Revoker?  Stops planeswalkers, shaman, and a plethera of artifacts.  Don't know tho, decks are still quite varied in t2.

what else?

Thank you for any and all suggestions, comment, and help.

MBC can be a lot fun to play. Here are some suggestions:

22 lands is not enough. You play a bunch of mana intensive bombs. I'd go 25 lands minimum.

Exannguinate/decimator web are awful. They are too slow against the ramp decks and don't do anything against aggro.

I'd max out on Go for the Throat, before adding doom blade.

You need a finisher. Grave titan is the stones, but with GFtT, I'd say wurmcoil would be good as well.

Gatekeeper of malakir is also pretty good removal.

Finally, I'd get in a couple of liliana's for diabolic tutors.
