We have published @ Mana Infinito a new video from Rubén González explaining the decklist and reasons for playing his Gush Storm deck in the LCV2011 January tournament.

This video was recorded the before the tournament. We will be broadcasting some "After Round Coverage" Videos from Rubén during the week.

We did a coverage on him during the tournament, and guess what?

He made it to the finals Smile

The "problem" is that the audio is in Spanish and there is some technical talking.

But, don´t forget to wait for the top8 matches videos where even the non Spanish speakers can enjoy the game.

Hope you like it!

The second part of the coverage has been posted:

Here Ruben does an after-round review of each match giving a sum up of the round and providing his side in and side out choices.

Incoming....the top8 coverage for the video recorded matches.

Wow, really cool videos!!
Watching vintage are always entertaining!! Do you have more videos of this top 8?

I would like to ask u a question! Does Ruben Gonzalez has a Mana Drain account? How can i get in contact with him to discuss some cards of his deck?

Thanks a lot

Feels like watching soccer in another language. Need to toss in a "GOAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" somewhere in the commentary.

@Leooooh

Rubén does not have a TMD account, you can put the comments here and I can pass them to him. Or you can register in the LCV forum:

http://www.eternalcatala.com/

And post a thread on the subject if you want (the vast majority of Spanish players read and write English without problems Very Happy)

@urweak

The cool thing with Magic videos is that you can watch a video even without audio and understand it Smile

Glad to read you like it. There are more to come!

Allways fun to see top 8 video's, I like how both players are keeping up the pace.
Vintage players (including myself) tend to play pretty slowly to avoid stupid play mistakes.

Also I'm wondering what people think about the Gifts Ungiven play in the 3rd game.
Wouldn't it be better to give him the Gush + Underground Sea so the Null Rod would resolve?

what i question the most was the fact that he merchant scrolls for mystical tutor, also in that 3rd game :/  (i think)  ...really? not a Gush, FoW,or A.Recall (although I think he had A.Rec in his graveyard already) no he fetches up a mystical tutor. I fail to understand that move.
Also, when the fish player gets his N.Rod countered, he fails to respond with the Spellpierce he holds while Ruben is tapped out!
I would pin-point the time frame on the video in which these events occured but my computer dislikes me such that it takes a decade to load two minutes of footage Sad
