Hi all,

I've developed a chrome extension to find cards at the magiccards.info (in several languages) or wizards.com (only in english) without opening additional new tabs or windows, only highlighting a word in the browser and clicking.

It's useful to see legality, prices, corrected text and more!

It can be installed for free from the official Chrome Webstore website: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/infiigcphjnhnkjagipboadmcdefhhld

I accept suggestions to improve it. Feedbacks on the Chrome website are welcome!  Very Happy.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if I highlight a cardname and click on the extension button, all I get are links to your site and options.

EDIT: Also, I would be a full degree more excited if you could incorporate apathyhouse.com referencing.

It's very strange, I've don't had any problem before with it. Are you trying it in the chrome extensions gallery or any other Chrome reserved website? It don't work on these. Are you in a slow connection environment?

I've noted your suggestion, I'll add soon the apathyhouse.com referencing, thank you!

The button I see on my browser has an image of 5 cards and a magnifying glass, but I see on your website that in that spot you have a button with the mtginfo icon.  My guess is that this has something to do with it.

The icon was changed, because it now searches into another website, no longer only magiccards.info (and soon will also search into apathy house too).

My question is about the website where you are highlighting the words, it won't works if you are highlighting words from chrome reserved websites like chrome://extensions or https://chrome.google.com.
I would like to understand why you aren't getting the card searched in order to fix it, could you tell me the website where you are trying it? Your problem is only with the magiccards.info search or is also with the wizards.com searching?

Thank you

EDIT:

Works fine on my home computer.  It must be that blasted surf protection.  It is a very nice app, thank you!

I just noticed that apathyhouse has their own Firefox extension, but one doesn't seem to exist yet for Chrome.  They describe theirs as having the following functionality:

Highlight cardname
Right-click
Option to apathyhouse-search

I think this would be even better since you don't have to go all the way up to the button in the corner.  God I'm lazy.

However, it's strange that it doesn't work on your other computer, could you give me more details? have you tried to reinstall the extension?

I'm working on the apathyhouse search and context menu (it will ask for more permissions).

Now you have Aphaty House search ^^

Awesome!!  Thanks!

As far as my other computer goes, it seems that it wouldn't allow the pop-up image to appear when I clicked on the icon.  I'm pretty sure that it has to do with our school's surf-protection software.

Can you open other extension's popup from that computer or is the problem only with this extension?

I'm not sure.  I don't have other extensions that use pop-ups.

I've updated the extension, now it works with right-lick too without popup, maybe it works now in your school.

MTG Finder has been improved, check the brand new features:

-Blackborder.com search. With card prices, comparison, image and more.
-Gatherer search. All official magic database with corrected text, artist and much more with only one click.
-Custom keyboard shortcuts.

See the MTG Finder full description in the Official Chrome Webstore site.

I hope that it can be useful to you  Wink

Suggestions are welcome!   Very Happy

MTG Finder new version includes TCG Player search. It allows you to see card prices from several stores, comparisons, stats, simil cards and much more.

Check it absolutely free at the Chrome Webstore.

(Firefox version is now in beta version! some mac user wants to test it?)

MTG Finder now searches into Magic Card Market too, the most famous trade site in Europe. It have been also translated to Spanish, Italian and German.

Give it a try and leave us your suggestions and improvements!
