Jace and Bob (and chain of Vapor) can only do so much against 3 Ravagers and a Blinkmoth Nexus on the table.


The game of the day by yours truly. This is Game 3 versus 4 Show and Tell 4 Oath of Druids 1 Tinker 1 Channel deck.
I go first, play ancient tomb sol ring crainial plating pithing needle (misty rainforest). My opponent plays Forbidden Orchard, Mana Crypt, Show and Tell. He shows me an Emrakul, I show him a Tolarian Academy. I now have a 1/1 spirit. I play Seat of Synot, Thoughtcast into second cranial plating, thoughtcast again for a skullclamp, and double equip platings to spirit (15/1) and swing with 1 life total left.  David takes it, keeping Emrakul on the field. His turn 2 he loses flip to crypt (2 life) swings, I lose 6 permanents keeping spirit, plating tolarian and sol ring.  David then casts Tinker (giving me second 1/1 dork) and Blightsteel Colossus is left. Like a champ, I have Vault of Whispers and Mox Opal in hand to do the double black insta-equip with the cranial plating for the first time ever in my magic career.  I win vs Turn 1 Emrakul, turn 2 Blightsteel. Whoot!


Lin Cheng can't see too clearly either with 6 Spheres on the table.


Game 1 vs David's Show and Tell Oath: But I don't know that yet. I resolve Tezz. yay! What to do? Impulse for Frogmite, go? 2 turns Later, I go ultimate for 14 dmgs vs his 12 life, whoot!


Potato's Karn is good against other shop decks.  It's friggin fantastic vs ArtifactLand.dec

I whipped this up at 4am prior to tourney based on my experience with legacy tezzfinity.  There is limited power in it because I decided to go for ZERO PROXIES to see what it's like.  The arbound ravager/Disciple plan was a mistake.  This is a cranial plating deck.  So obvious changes would be +1 mox emerald, pearl, ruby, time walk, ancestral recall, +4 memnite, +4 vault skirge.  I'll pm a list once I have it MWS'd up.

That game in the semis was insane. I've never actually seen that happen.

For those who weren't there, LSD had the misfortune of Oathing for his second creature, which was the bottom card of his deck...

Culling Scales is just not a good idea. Shoulda went with either Relic of Progenitus or Razormane Masticore.
Serum Powder is insane insane insane. The best serum powder though is when you get like 3 serum powders in a hand

Now that I think of it, was it Emrakul that he Oath'ed up as his last card?  His graveyard should get Emrakul Trigger! (ie, shuffled back into deck). I hope we all learn something from this.

Why? Emrakul never hits the graveyard, so no trigger for him.

Yeah, he oathed out emrakul. His previous turn, he got Blightsteel, but I duplicanted it. So he oathed again, and emrakul was literally the bottom card of his deck.
