Initial suggestion
 {G} Choking Fungus Cloud

Enchantment

All fungus creatures you control gain "Remove a spore counter: Put a 1/1 green Saproling token onto the battlefield"

As long as a Saproling is in play, opponents cannot play spells.

---------------

Thallids are my favorite deck, but they're just not competitive in Vintage. I think this represents an inherent unfairness in the format. They need something that totally nullifies their weakness of being slow while also making them incredible lock pieces.

I am sick of the fact that Workshop keeps getting more tools to play AND they have the means to power out those tools with the 5 black lotus in there decks. Shop has Mishra's Workshop, Blue has Key/Ring/Mana Vault/Grim Monolith and Fish has things like Noble Hierarch and Aether Vial. Speed wise it just is not fair. And the things they power out can seal the win pretty quickly (Tezz/Jace/Golems/Wires/...)

Ok so, how would you create a card to ratchet up Thallids? I don't think there's any reason that my personal deck choice shouldn't be a tier one option... Suggestions?

Is this a joke?

Basically, you win on turn 2 by casting two 1 mana spell and your opponent has no way of getting out of it.

I think you forgot the last ability.

"Punch opponent in the balls and go have sex with his mom".

I love Fungus decks, it was the first deck I played in a tournament when I started playing, but come on...

Make is at least fair.

Sacrifice 3 Saprolings: opponents cannot play spells this turn. Activate this only during your turn.

The Vintage format lives on broken cards, and I see no reason why there shouldn't be broken cards that benefit my particular deck of choice to an inordinate degree. I mean, that's only fair.

Fair enough, in that case I refer you back to my nut punching and mom screwing ability.

Since about 92% of the time, just being caught playing Magic by the opposite sex entirely rules out a potential sexual encounter, I would suggest that your mom-screwing ability is a bad idea on the basis that it'll just be countered on resolution.

Draw 3 cards, and search your library for Black Lotus if able from having your junk punched.
(fixed)

Seems good. Gives green a reason to have x4 Ancestral Recall to make them the best color finally with or without my toe fungus! Fungus's would become the top tier Oath target.

Hm.  I'm not even sure that this is playable at G.  You get alot of 1/1s but it takes alot of time.

T1 - Thallid
T2 - CFC, get a duder
T3 - Maybe play a 2cc fungus, get another duder?

So by t4 you're sitting on three 1/1s (two more summoning sick) and whatever the 2cc fungus was.  Seems.... slow.

What about this though; a card that slows the game down to match the pace of Thallid development?

Choking Fungus Cloud
GG
Fungi you control gain "Remove a spore counter: Put a 1/1 green Saproling token onto the battlefield."
Lands and artifacts enter the battlefield tapped.

This way, not only do you boost your Thallid growth (at a better place on your curve) but you slow the pace of the game to make it matter a little more.

I'd bet anything that Wizard would opt to use "Fungus creatures" instead of "Fungi" not to confuse people...
