I'm getting back to running weekly Vintage events at Mark's Comics. Here's the info on the next event:
What:
$10, 15 proxy, non-sanctioned Vintage tournament. 1st place prize of a Taiga is guaranteed at 8 players. 4 packs are guaranteed to second at 10 players, with 2 packs each guaranteed to 3rd and 4th at 12 players.
When:
Saturday, August 20th 12:30pm registration 1pm start
Where:
Mark's Comics and Collectibles 291 Central Ave Valley Stream, N.Y. (516) 872-5919
Vintage was at its apex on Long Island when there were consistent local events. I haven't run as many as I should have lately, but I'm going to go back to doing what I had been doing. If you can, come down to Mark's, support the store, and play some Vintage. We have a big N.Y.S.E. in two weeks, now is an awesome time to get some prep in...
See you Saturday!

The return of Saturday events is good news to me, my work schedule has changed now to leave me free on Saturdays but working on Sundays (so Depot events are not possible for me anymore). Hopefully we can get these Saturday events really going with some nice 10-12 mans going forward. If anyone needs cards/decks, let me know, i'll make anyone anything they'd like to play.

The goal is to have at least one event every weekend. You're welcome to join us up here. I'm already +1 Pennsylvanian.

Yeah, I have a set of curtains made from Yankee championship banners. Sadly I only have a set of four - 96, 98, 99, 00. I guess I'll just have to have one made for 09. WOW a taiga, i've always wanted one of those!
See you then?

Sounds good - if you need to borrow a deck, let me know. Your choice from Sunday is still open.

We had 14 players show up for today's Saturday Vintage at Mark's. Shawn Anthony won the Taiga, with JP Kohler coming in second.
Congrats guys!
I hope to see everybody at Depot tomorrow!
