Sooooo.....  I posted the notice for this a few weeks ago, so you have no excuse not to attend for my posting this "late"!

The details:

WHAT: VINTAGE! Tournament

Swiss + Top 8.

Entry is $20

PRIZES:

CASH!

1st Place: 40% of Prize Pool
2nd Place: 20% of Prize Pool
3rd Place: 10% of Prize Pool
4th Place: 10% of Prize Pool
5th-8th: 5% of prize pool each

Prize Pool will be 80% of entry fees!

As long as there are 24 or more players, there will be a FREE single elimination side event will begin with X-1 round of swiss with a grand prize of $40 (which will come from the main prize pool).

WHERE:

The Soldiery
4256 N. High St.
Columbus, Ohio 43214

If you need to car pool to Columbus, post your needs and we'll find someone whom you can travel with. I'll start a signup if necessary.

PROXIES: UNLIMITED PROXIES will be permitted.

There are THREE ways of making proxies:

1) The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it. 2) The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics. See: http://forums.starcitygames.com/viewtopic.php?t=291560 for more detaiils on how to do this.
3) the third is to print out all 75 cards, and slip the sheet of paper into each sleeve. If you do this, every card must be proxied. The first two methods are preferred.

WHEN: Sunday, October, 23, 2011

The store opens at 11:30 AM. Registration starts at 12:30. Registration will close and the tournament begins at 1PM sharp. To save time, consider typing or writing up your decklist ahead of time.

FINALLY, don't miss our post-game chowdown at Thurmans.

Put the address in your GPS so you can get there after the tournament!

http://www.thethurmancafe.com/

Don't miss on eating this:

Team Meandeck took down the last Team Serious Open.  Can Team Serious take down this one?  Or will a rogue, unaffiliated player take it down?  One of the Moore Bros?  Serracollector?  Someone else?

Post if you're coming!  This will be a blast!!  See you then!!

Glad to hear it.  Maybe if you stop playing Bob.... j/k....

I hope Ohioans make a good showing for this!

It's unlimited proxies, so not having cards is no excuse!

Come out just to try and beat me, if that gives you motivation Wink

Don't you worry about Bobby Digital Mr. Menedian. I got popped in the in the face by the Vintage Revelation Hammer over the weekend and have a monster deck in the works that even your Meandeck Demarsian Brewmaster won't see coming.

Belcher, Belcher and more Belcher?

With the sb Belcher plan?

You absolutely should Smile

This is a great opportunity to step back into Vintage: unlimited proxies and a fun atmosphere.  As long as there are enough people, there will also be a side event, so bring a backup deck in case you don't like your first choice.

Just an FYI: This may well be the FINAL Meandeck Open of 2010, so be SURE to bring your butt up here!!!

It would be great to see the KY crew again.  Is Tiffany going to bring them up?

Sick.  Is Yangtime and Trogdor coming?

Where are the Kentucky players? Bobby Graves, Tiff, etc?

Yangspliff's out, says he has to meet some Columbia's south of the border for a "business transaction", Snoop Trogg is 50/50, and there's a few people still on the fence.

So far Gee and myself are the only ones confirmed from C-Town.

Tell them this is the last meandeck open this year, and that they better get some good Eats at Thurmans

You're their team leader..... Institute a decree of participation or give'em an ultimatum.... Just make sure you use the Darth Sidious voice....

I wanted to thank everyone who attended, and congratulations to John Knight for beating me in the finals. We had a solid group or stalwarts, and an amazing time at Thurmans.  I will be posting top 4 decklists sometime next week.   Be sure to attend our next tournament on January 8th of 2012!
