Nick,
A great event, as always! I gotta Top 4 next time to keep my collection of shiny Bobs going.
Not to quibble too much, but I don't think I would consider my deck to be "Snapcaster Control." Snappy is cute, I guess, but the real star of that deck is still Dark Confidant. That guy is just too nuts in the early game.
Also, thanks for keeping my screwy throw-away name. I would've nixed it. :-p

I always have fun sharing what people write on their decklists. Why the hell not? As long as I include an archetype with it, what's the harm? On that note, I decided to include all 5 decks that ran Snapcaster Mage together, since they were all very similar. Yours was the only one that ran 2x, one ran 3x, and three ran 4x copies. That little guy is pretty awesome.

I landed in 9th on breakers playing 4x snapcasters. I just wanted to test the guy out. My take right now is that hes good, but not as good as bob.

Excellent camera work and description! Nick, or someone else, can you explain Expedition Map to me in the Stax deck in second place? Is this mainly used to find Strip Mine, or what exactly is the purpose?

All credit goes to Sam Berse on the camerawork. Sam and I were playing next to Chris and Joe.
Sped Map truly shines games two and three versus Dredge. Finding Waste, Bojuka Bog, or Tabernacle (when you're running it). It has a slew of other applications. Strip like you mention, Bazaar with an active Welder, Mountain to play Welder, and to a lesser extent it's used for ramp with Shop or direct damage with B Ring.

Expedition Map gets Strip Mine to lock out their plan, Tolarian Academy to kill their academy or to simply advance your plan. Or gets a Workshop. or Bazaar of Baghdad. or gets the SB Bojuka Bog. Also, PICS! Thanks for putting them up. I have a Vintage tourney next week, so hopefully a pic filled metareport will go up!

Chris: hardcast Rune Demon off Drain Joe: Drain Chris: Pierce Joe: Spellstutter Chris: Pierce Joe: FoW Chris: contemplating FoWing back img URL name /img with [ ] around img and /img This stack makes no sense. Why didn't Joe just pay 2 for the first Pierce? (Did he wanted a 1/1 in play that badly?) And the way the cards are layed out, the second Pierce is targeting SSP, which is a creature.

Joe did give me an explanation that I think related to the creature, but perhaps he can re-explain it at some point.
The pierce must have targeted the drain, but they just put it in order "top-down" in order to begin resolving things.
