All proxies must follow these guidelines:

Please do not use the back of a magic card for a proxy!

There are two types of acceptable proxies. The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it. The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics.

All proxies must have the following text neatly printed, using a extra fine point sharpie. Ballpoint pen may not be used:
• The full name of the card (no abbreviations or nicknames)
• Correct casting cost of the card including all colored mana symbols
• All relevant/game effecting text

When choosing what card to use as the base for an erased proxy players must follow these rules:
• The mana cost of the base spell must be the same as the card being proxied.
• The type of the card being proxied must be the same as the base card.
• The P/T of a creature being proxied must be the same as the base creature P/T
• When proxying a creature it may be difficult to find a creature where all characteristics match. In this case, mana cost is the most important, followed by the P/T, followed by the subtype. Any characteristics that do not match must be erased and corrected.
• The art box, card name, and text box must be totally erased. White out may not be used for this as it affects the stiffness of the card and may mark it.
• When adding text to the card do not use a ballpoint pen. A extra-fine-point sharpie is the best thing to use. A ball point pen can cause indentations on the card marking it.
• For clarity reasons, the use of cards with the new card frame is strongly encouraged

There is at least one car full of peeps coming out from Ohio chapter of Team Serious to represent for this, so all of you Wisconsin bitches better show up. I will also have the epic Type 4 Stack with me as well.

Oh man..... I got a sick read you'll be piloting the new Team Serious Mayhem deck. I remember the first time we put that thing together.....  Melted a hole straight through the kitchen table.

Sure, why not!  I'll even do a little research this week about better lighting and see if I can come up with something to help that out.

Hello all from Chicago. I've been playing Magic since 7th edition, but I just started getting into competitive Magic and am hoping to go to this tournament, but it will be my first vintage tournament. I just finished getting together all the cards for the deck. I'm hoping to have fun at the tournament but just a little nervous since I know how intense vintage can be.

Thanks. Just to make sure, is it ok if I'm using 1 proxy, a collector's edition Black Lotus? The deck is sleeved of course and I even cut the corners off the card, so from the front you can't tell it apart from Beta without looking closely. I know you allow up to 10 proxies for free, but I just want to make sure ahead of time that the collector's edition Lotus is an acceptable proxy.

I don't think it will matter. Over 75% of my friends play at Gencon with chopped up CE power. Neutral

Vintage is only as intense as you want it to be. We should battle and high-five a bunch. It'll be a good time.

I would not recommend giving Yangspliff a high-five. He's on the same team as LHC and only god knows what litter box they've been testing in.

I highly doubt that's an accurate representation of Team Serious. There's no way they'd have enough skill to snap their fingers in unison for that long. I've been staring at the GIF for 15 minutes now and not one of them has missed a snap.
