On Saturday, February 4th, Mark of Mark's Comics is going to be running another Saturday Vintage event.  Here are the rough details:

What:

$20, 15 proxy, non-sanctioned Vintage tournament.

1st place prize will be an Unlimited Mox Pearl, to be guaranteed at 19 entrants.  If less than 19 entrants show, Mark will lower the entry fee to $10 and run the prize as a credit breakdown between the top finishers.

Additional prize support will be given out with additional entrants.

When:

Saturday, February 4th
4:00pm registration
4:30pm start

Where:

Mark's Comics and Collectibles
291 Central Ave
Valley Stream, N.Y.
(516) 872-5919

A couple of important disclaimers:

1.    I am NOT the tournament organizer for this event.  I am announcing this tournament for a friend.

2.   This tournament WILL NOT count towards any of the NEV player levels.  This event and ALL NEV events are SEPARATE.

I’ll be there, and I’ll probably be playing.  I hope to see you there!

Mark doesn't have a webpage, but if you've got any questions, feel free to give him a call.

The store is conveniently located off exit 13S on the Southern State Parkway.  Depending on where on the Island you're from, the drive shouldn't be too bad.

Ah, too bad -- was going to attend, but my friend just announced he and his girlfriend got engaged and we're having a party that day. So, not 'too bad' after all Smile But I'll come to another of these if Mark hosts another -- hope he does!

Looks like I'm out. With the Release and Super Bowl, I have to leave some time for the parents to celebrate my birthday.

Dark Ascension or no?

Dark Ascension is LEGAL for this tournament.

Feel free to pack as many Grafdigger's Cages as you'd like.  I can think of at least a couple of Oath and Dredge pilots who'll be nice and miserable to see that card.

I can't. Those decks don't exist anymore.

Congrats on the finals split, Nick!

Thanks, Matt.

I'm collecting the lists and I currently have 5/8.  Mark isn't going to put a report up, but I'll publish the lists in a tournament report sometime next weekend.  If you top 8'd this event and you haven't shipped me a list already, please do so.

Any other information about the decktypes in the top8?

Thx in advance
