Scholars had Sanctioned Vintage with 10+ people for a while, the only issue being that it's really hard to get new players. I mean if I have the opportunity I'd like to make the trip out and play in it, but I'm not sure how well others could manage it.

Count me in!  The idea of Vintage FNM sounds like a lot of fun, especially to counter the image of FNM formats that was released a few weeks ago (where it omitted Vintage as an option).

I would be able to attend Fridays much more frequently than I attend Tuesdays, so I'm all for a Vintage FNM.

Could always use the experience and don't have to travel very far so I'd be there as much as possible, depending on the time.  I'd need to leave by 10pm.  Would this be in addition to our Tuesday night plan and is it possible folks would choose one or the other, leaving both nights with a lack of attendance?

Btw, are we meeting tonight or is everyone burned out from Sunday?

Assuming no weather shenanigans, I will be there.

I will be there tonight running the event for sure.

As for the FNM it would likely be once a month to start and would be in addition to our Tuesday night event.   I don't think we'd want to do it every week since as you mentioned it is a bit of a conflict for some people.

That is unless it started to become really popular in which case we could start running more.

Good times last night, great crowd.  I'll try to make more of them.  I highly recommend anyone who is interested (casual or semi-serious). Good players, super cool opponents, casual atmosphere.

If there's an FNM we should really have a separate thread for it as I don't often check this one and would probably miss it. Plus maybe some people would make the trip out to participate in such a cool thing, especially if you try to make it fall in line with a proxy Saturday event or something.

I'm only missing a Lotus, Jet, and Walk, but could probably play without them if needed.

I do intend to eventually make a thread for it, this was to feel out the interest from some of the regulars.

This seems to be gaining, I'm going to say...the little engine that could amount of steam.  Let's start cooking with some gas.  I'm also really interested in getting the unpowered list from vintage champs.  Having a few decks available to post with any events would be good.  So if you have an unpowered list of any kind that would be great.  I know white trash is pretty decent.  Merfolk is entirely playable.  I'm sure there is even a list on the drain already of options.  But having them with the event seems like a good idea.

Who knows, maybe if we get a big one or a few dailies fire Wizards or someone can write an article about Vintage FNMs happening and how cool it is. It would also make up for Vintage being excluded on that list >.>

Whether or not Wizards will put this on their website, you're more than welcome to put up a report on TMD about this.

I'm interested in playing the Eternal formats again, and Tuesday nights are no go for me. I think I could make one of the FNMs every month or two, and a sanctioned vintage FNM is rad.

If I end up in attendance, I'll definitely snag some pictures at the very least and do my own write up.

It was really cool playing Sanctioned Vintage at Scholars, but they had their own video coverage, which I appeared on at one point.

Good meta representation last night, as someone pointed out.
Mono Blue control got it, but Dredge totally had it I think. Anyway a fun Tuesday as usual...well maybe slightly better thanks to some keepable 7s.  Smile

Another go this week.  Hopefully another good showing.  I'll be there slinging cards as usual!

To clear the confusion, despite this being a holiday week for thanksgiving I will be at the shop tomorrow for Vintage.  Sound off here if you plan to attend!

I may. I'm still satiated from my blood gorge on Saturday, might play some darts instead.

Just found this thread!  Anyone planning on going next Tuesday (12/30)?

Definitely making plans to visit Boston and attend this one early next week.  Would love to jam some Vintage with you New Englanders =)

as it is looking like my work schedule will demand I be back in town for the week of the 30th, I will be there to run the event as well, so anyone who shows up I'll see you there.
