I would love to watch the team 3v3, although I would love to participate even more. I do not have a team unfortunately...
Depending on my scheduling, I might be down for some team teamless.

Sweet, my brother is also going so we would have 3.

Soooo....

Have decided to try and make a last minute attempt to go to GenCon.  Travel to and from Indy is covered.  I just need some roommates.  Anyone still have a spot or room for one more?

Spend at least half of one day going through the dealer hall.

Dollar boxes abound but are massive time sinks.  I try to avoid them unless I get to the booth in the first few hours, usually they are well picked over by the end of Thursday.  Sunday can sometimes foster deals as the exhibitors don't want to bring everything home with them.

Good restaurants are clustered around the convention center.

The Ram and Scotty's Brewhouse go for a gamer theme with a special gamer themed menu (same food as usual, new names) are both pretty good and have a good selection of beer.

Fogo de Chao is the local meat palace (Churascaria)

Bucca de Bepo is good for large groups.

Take a shower, get some sleep and for god's sake don't stand still in the middle of the aisle in the dealer hall.

The following artists have confirmed for the art show and have had at least one Magic illustration:

Drew Baker - Digital artist
Ralph Horsley - Big fan but most of his Originals have sold
April Lee - Only 3 pieces, but 3 really great pieces, Originals all sold or lost
Todd Lockwood - Made the transition to 100% digital around Masques block
Peter Mohrbacher - I believe 100% Digital but will confirm at the con
Jim Pavelec - No idea
Mark Poole - No recent pieces, most of his originals are long gone
Dan Scott - 100% digital
John Stanko - No response, looks like 100% digital
Charles Urbach - Most of the well known originals are already sold

I'm sure each of them will have a selection of Artist Proofs available.

Susan Van Camp is usually there as well, I don't remember see ing her on this year's list though.

LA Williams and Ed Beard sometimes show up in their own booths and you will usually see some other artists show up as draws to store booths, Mark Tedin is a normal favorite for this.

I would expect Jeremy Jarvis and Matt cavotta to be there as well, but in their roles as Art Directors for WotC.  If yoy can recognize them I would bet they are good for a signing, no idea if they will be bringing their art or proofs.

She is listed as being there. She had a 5 card limit unless you buy some proofs or something last year so beware before walking up with a stack of 38 Whirling Dervishes.

It is being covered by GGS Live, which is probably why there will not be Vintage Champs coverage.

EDIT:  Assuming you're talking about what I think you're talking about.

Nearing 40 minutes late for the start of the first prelims tournament. Here's hoping they don't pull this tomorrow.

At the Standard event nextdoor, it's armbands and guards telling you to stay away from the walled off area. Here at the Vintage tables it's free for all funtime. Go go security...?

That seems fair. Just consider the price of a foiled out Battles of Wits deck. That's like...one alpha Lotus!

I made top 8 in the first prelim playing MUD, then I lost to Soly in the first round.  There were also 2 Bomberman decks in T8.

Awesome to hear guys. Keep going and I am sure you will all be having a blast.

On a related note: with the strong Bomberman showing, will any of you be changing you SB or MD to account for this?

The "best" deck in Legacy right now. Some of us have attempted Vintage versions with varying success.

Unfortunately there is no GGs Live coverage. I will try to provide some coverage the best I can via twitter inbetween rounds. I will be Tweeting from the @Womba_

I would also recommend following Steven Menendian @SMenendian ; Ryan Glackin @RusticGlackin ; Matt Elias @Voltron00x ; Nick Coss @IronChefNick .

If anyone else is posting twitter updates post you name here.

Good Luck to everyone battling today!!
