Thanks again to everyone that made it out. This was a GREAT time. If you haven't been to one of these yet, you're missing out. You will not find a more chill environment to sling cardboard. If you DID make it out, post your props and slops!

Thanks again for the support, and let's keep vintage in the North East going strong as we prepare for GENCON 2012.

See you there!

Props
- My teammate, Jon Geras', Top 8 showing.
- Seeing Broken Gush at the top.
- The shop for once again putting on a great event.
- The community, because that's what makes Vintage so much fun  to be a part of.
- The postgame with myself, Geras, Potucek, Glackin, Noble, Richards, and Hundertmark at Quaker Steak & Lube, where Team Ramrod got an unexpected new member.
- The games when my deck did what it was supposed to, which, weren't a lot, but when they happened, it was fun  to play it.

Slops
- The games which my deck didn't do what it was supposed to, which were more than I would have liked, and when they happened, made me want to punch myself in the ding-ding.
- Getting paired with Geras in Round 3. Never want to face a teammate that early in they day.
- Having one of my teammates have to drop last minute before the event.

Great event, as always, and can't wait for the next one!

Thanks for hosting this great tournament, Vito!  Sadly, after dominating the swiss, I lost my top 8 match to a seemingly minor misplay.  Great showings by Shawn and Rob, as usual!

Thanks! It was good to be back and putting up results. I barely missed the final table but I guess that's how it goes. Bernie and I have been testing the format to prep for vintage worlds this august. I hope to be able to get to another event before then. This event was a ton of fun. I'll be trying to get out to another one for sure.

Thanks for all of the positive support, everyone! These things are a ton of fun.

I'm very privileged, as a TO, to have the ability to play in my events, thanks to my partners and staff at Full of Win Games. You have to do what you love, and I love Vintage!

I'm also extremely privileged to be a part of this growing Vintage community. The format is growing, and is more open and diverse than it's been in years. When round one starts, it truly can be anyone's day!

The people that come to these events are some of the chillest people you'll ever meet, and the caliber of player has increased tremendously over the past few years, making the competition even more healthy. You will not find better, more active, or more competitive players than North East players. With Gencon 2012 in the sights of many of our competitors, it's important to get out there and get the most interactive and diverse competition playtesting possible. For the seasoned Vintage Worlds attendees, the value of testing in competition is well known.

To answer Keith's question about my next event, the answer is.... I don't know when my next event will be!

Looking at the lineup between now and Gencon looks pretty rough honestly. My events are not run as frequently as the other TOs, there's simply too much going on at my shop with the Standard and Modern competitive teams. Also, I REFUSE to double book an event with another Vintage TO. The goal is to spread vintage, and get everyone together and have a good time, not to make people choose one event over another. If it comes between holding a tournament and double booking with another Vintage event, or not holding a tournament, I'm not holding a tournament. Thankfully, this has never happened with my events, and the Vintage TOs have done a really good job at keeping communication tight.

That's the long answer. The short answer is - Probably late August, or Early September. There's plenty of Vintage between now and Worlds, I assure you.

A quick breakdown of Northeast Tournaments between now and Gencon

July 7 - Open, No Vintage Sad

July 14       - Open, No Vintage Sad

July 21:

Top Deck Games NEV - New Jersey

Myriad Games Vintage - Salem, NH

July 28:

Council Open #5 - Bloomsburg, PA

Mark's Comics      - Valley Stream, NY

August 5  - Open, no Vintage Sad

August 12:

Save the Date, something in New Jersey!!!

August 19   - GENCON WEEKEND

August 26 - Open, No Vintage (yet?)

I'll definitely be popping up at one or two of these tournaments before Worlds, and I hope to see you all at them as well.

If there's anything I've missed talking about, or anything else that anyone wants to ask, just post it on here, I'm always around.

As per usual, a great event at Full of Win in Clarks Summit, PA.  There were 6 rounds of Vintage fun and I do mean fun!  I was lucky enough in the Swiss to go 4-2 and still make it to Top 8 with Noble Fish.  A lot of great players had the same record, but I was fortunate enough to get in (then lose to the formidable Rob Edwards).  I really want to say this one thing: enjoy the game and community first and foremost.  With determination and practice, the wins will come.  Looking forward to seeing and meeting more folks in the NEV community!

Props:
-Enjoying every game, round, and opponent.
-Being able to win-and-in at 4-2
-Quaker Steak and Lube with Potucek, Glackin, Varosky, Noble, Richards, and Evan (last name eludes me).  Tons of fun and great beers.
-Mike Noble for championing Noble Fish and innovating tech
-Chris Varosky, Josh Richards, and Dave Z. of Team Ramrod for hours of practice and fun.

Slops:
-My win-and-in dream crush of a fellow Fish player.  A great 3 game set that he probably should've had.
-Punting away a few plays that likely cost me a game or two.  Just gotta tighten up for next time.
