Hi all and welcome.  We are The Mana Vault located in Fond du Lac, WI about an hour north of Milwaukee and an hour and 15 minutes south of Green Bay. We are hosting our very first vintage tournemant with more hopefully to come.  We do 100% of entry payout, and seeing as this is our first we will just stay to that but may have cards for furture payouts.  We do have a large stock of good vintage playable stuff.

The Tournimant will be held

Date:  Sat  Sept 8th 2012
Time: Regristration starts at 2 oclock and closes at 3pm with the tournemant to start promptly after. ( We do open at noon if you want to come early.)
Format: Vintage - 10 free proxies ,  .25 each additional after ten.
Entry:  $25 plus any proxie charge

Location: 16 n Brooke St, Fond du Lac, WI 54935  located on the south side of the building(it is a huge warehouse).  There is a parking lot on the front of the building as well as across the street as well as parking on the street, however it is a small street.

Directions: If comming from the north or south via Hwy 41 you will want to exit on exit number 99 Hwy 23, take that to the east.  You will ride throught town about two miles.  You will pass a Taco Bell on the left at a stoplight, shortly after that stop light is a bridge that goes over a set of railroad tracks.  Go over that bridge and at the bottom of the east side of it is a stop light (Military Rd), you will take a left onto Military and then an immadate left onto Kelly Dr and another immidate left onto Brooke St.  Brooke St runs under that bridge so you are kinda doing a loop di loop to get under it.  Two blocks south of that is were we are located, again in a huge warehouse right across the street from U haul.  Either park inthe front lot or turn the corner onto Taylor St and you will see us and the parking lot across the street.   If you have any troubles getting here or need anything call us - 920 251 4989 or 920 539 2278.

If you are comming in on Hwy 23 from east or west use the directions above about how to turn onto Brooke from Hwy 23.  People from the east MIlitary and the bridge is shortly after Main St, which you cannot miss.

All proxies must follow these guidelines:

Please do not use the back of a magic card for a proxie!

There are two types of acceptable proxies. The first and most basic is taking a basic land card and writing the details of the card on it. The second method is to take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics.

All proxies must have the following text neatly printed, using a extra fine point sharpie. Ball point pens may not be used:
• The full name of the card (no abbreviations or nicknames)
• Correct casting cost of the card including all colored mana symbols
• All relevant/game effecting text

When choosing what card to use as the base for an erased proxy players must follow these rules:
• The mana cost of the base spell must be the same as the card being proxied.
• The type of the card being proxied must be the same as the base card.
• The P/T of a creature being proxied must be the same as the base creature P/T
• When proxying a creature it may be difficult to find a creature where all characteristics match. In this case, mana cost is the most important, followed by the P/T, followed by the subtype. Any characteristics that do not match must be erased and corrected.
• The art box, card name, and text box must be totally erased. White out may not be used for this as it affects the stiffness of the card and may mark it.
• When adding text to the card do not use a ball point pen. A extra fine point sharpie is the best thing to use. A ball point pen can cause indentations on the card marking it.
• For clarity reasons, the use of cards with the new card frame is strongly encouraged

PLEASE NOTE - We have many players who have never played vintage and may not know what all the cards do so you proxies must be legable and have all relevant game text.  Don't use pen and don't just write the name of the card on the front or back of a card.  Proxie rules will be enforced.
