Great week end with loads of players from all over Europe !
A full report will follow but in the meantime some figures:

Friday Modern ~180 players: finalist were Colombo Renè (from Italy) and Aristov Boris (i think from Russia) - i believe they have split the final

Saturday Legacy: ~450 players: finalist were Del Valle (from Spain with reanimator) and Schunemann (from Germany - the winner of GP Ghent - with ANT), wins Schunemann

Sunday Vintage: ~200 players: finalist were Jaime Cano (form Spain with pseudo Keeper with Ooze and Vendillion) vs Danilo Longo (from Italy with TPS!!! - we all thought it was a dead archetype!), Wins Jaime Cano

New record for Legacy attendace in Italy, Vintage has only lost and handfull of players since last year (204 players in 2011) and Modern on Friday shows very encouraging numbers.

Hoping to see even more players next year and may the Vintage community re-start to grow in the future (we hope!) !

And the success story of Bomberman keeps going.

What makes this deck so strong? The combo is clunky, the creatures are a bit overcosted for what they are doing, it lacks an effective early game draw engine and white, while strong in many cases, offers no satisfying solution against shops.

Is it the safe two color manabase, is it the raw power of four Jaces or is it the effective and flexible Trinket toolbox? These are the only convincing reasons I can see. Is the Bomberman himself, Salvagers, even needed? Could these three components, UX manabase, four Jaces, Trinket Toolbox not be fitted in more powerful and effective conepts, like UR Painter, UR Tez, UW Stoneforge, which sometimes appear, but not as often as Bomberman.

Questions over questions and probably not the right place to ask them  Anyway ...

Edit: my congratulations to Jaime, i have lost against him the 4th turn for 1-2. I could see him doing well at the tournament in fact I went back few minutes later to ask some questions about his deck! He deserved the victory coming with a very original deck and playing it flawlessly!
