Thank you sir! Great event, as always. Was a hard-fought day (Not as hard as Vito's as I only had to face Shops twice) and well worth it! Can't wait for the next one!

Thanks for the great tournament, I had a good time and congrats to Justin for beating me in the finals. Pretty awkward only playing 1 actual game in the finals(each of us mulling to oblivion in games 1 and 2)

What was Chris V's sideboard?
Real men don't need no sideboards! Hahahahaha! I resent it to Shawn this morning, along with the missing maindeck card, and is now up.

Congrats everyone! I'm happy to see turnout on the upturn this time, and although I mourn its loss, I can see Bloomsburg emerging as a much stronger tournament setting after after the NEV series sunsets. Alas, I chose PTQ work over Bloom for this weekend, but I look forward to possibly attending your next event, especially with my unblemished record against Kohler.

I feel like such a shmuck for shipping Mason that mana base. I feel worse about my misclicks, misplays, and self-imposed mental missteps throughout the day, but still -- I suppose when we have to build decks for three extraa people, SOMETHING will fall through the cracks.
Congrats to Mason and Zack, whom did well at their first Bloomsburg events. (And especially for Zack, who played his first Vintage match the night before.)
Congrats to Justin Kohler, for being a boss (as usual).
Hats off to Shawn Griffiths for running the best Vintage this side of the mighty Susquehanna.
And, finally, congrats to me: -- for presenting a 59-card deck, -- for not understanding how spells work, -- and for tacitly approving a 3 - Misty, 2 - Delta, 1 - Tarn, and main-deck Mountain mana base. :-\

should we ask shawn to credit you for designing my manabase? For the sake of argument, you borrowed Rob's deck, not mine. I'm going to edit my above post to say "tacitly approving."

Justin I really like the 2 Vendilion Clique in your Bomberman list. What are your thoughts so far with 2 maindeck?
I was playing with 1 for the past few tournaments to try to gain some percentage points against shops, especially in game 1 scenarios. It was performing better than I expected, so I decided to bump it to 2 for this event, which was a good call. It's a solid card overall, and having a 3 power guy allows you to get more random aggro wins or trade with bigger creatures out of the non-blue decks (Lodestone, Trygon, random 2/2 with exalted). Also, you aren't totally reliant on Jace to beat shops, which is the main reason it is good.

Awesome congrats on your success. I really like the Vendilion Clique over Aven but that is just my personal preference I'm glad it has been working good for you.
Does the list feel a little heavy on the 3 drop slot now? I wonder how the deck would feel with - 1 Aven, - 1 Trinket for 1 Brainstorm, 1 Pre ordain or Ponder.

Since Burning Tendrils was the most played deck along with Martello does anyone have any anecdata for how it fared?

I actually like Mindcensor a lot, so it was even harder to cut the second one, but now I feel that the main deck is just about right (for the NE meta). You really don't need cantrips at all, because you're not trying to dig to broken cards. Brainstorm is very redundant with Jace/Top. I know this because it was in my original decklist from March. The mana curve is very high for a vintage deck, but this only matters against shops, which I choose to address with the sideboard, rather than dumb down the main deck.

I played it, and went 1-4. My only victory was against another Burning Tendrils deck, and I only one because his Yawgmoth's Bargain hated him game 3. I lost to Shops Round 1, 0-2, because I had to mulligan too much. I beat Burning Tendrils Round 2 using a Desire for 6 game 2 on the play and his Bargain not getting there game 3. I lost to Landstill Round 3 because neither me nor my opponent knew how Tendrils of Agony worked. Lol. (Long story). I lost to a Gush deck round 4 because I presented a 59-card deck in G3 on the play. :-\ ... I got the bye round 5, but I probably would have lost there, too. If I didn't punt two matches away, it might have been much more interesting.... I felt like I was in most of the games I played.

I've played against Justin several times while he has been on this deck and seen him play others with it many times as well, and can say easily that Brainstorm is not needed, nor would it be pretty much wanted in this deck. I have to give credit to both the deck and it's pilot, it's design and execution are impressive as it is. Cards like Brainstorm, Ponder, or Preordain are completely unnecessary as Jace and certainly Top do exactly what he wants those cards to do for his deck.

Haha, you guys are funny! Seriously though, brainstorm has always been an auto-include for me, which is why it was in the original list here: http://morphling.de/top8decks.php?id=1576I just felt underwhelmed by it after the event, so it got cut for Top #2, and I never looked back.

As far as I could tell they were all pretty much the same. I had a good shot at top 8 before I llost my round 4 match vs workshop on a mull to 2 in game 3 and I lost round 5 when I presented with a 14 card sideboard.
