Sorry about the tardiness of this report (and the non-existence of the November TO Report).  I sadly cannot find the decklists for the November event, and as such, can't put together the tournament report.

If you want to know who won, or check any of the NEV points earned from that event, you can always check the Google Document detailing the Player's Club race for the NEV Series (just scroll to the right).

Thank you to everyone who came out to play!  Even though we had a few less folks then usual, everyone still had a great time!

Congratulations to Jake Gans who, with this win, advances to level four of the NEV Player's Club and secures himself a Round 1 bye at the NEV Invitational!

The first place deck has 4 strip mines and the marinara list has no welders.

The first place deck has 4 strip mines and the marinara list has no welders.

This was actually Martello Shops (which is the Forgemaster deck), not MUD Marinara, which is the Welder/Smokestack deck.

The first place deck has 4 strip mines and the marinara list has no welders.

This has been corrected.  The three cards in the board were actually Phyrexian Revokers.

Pretty sure Mike Noble won the event based on his deck name alone.

What is the date of the winter open?

The Winter Open is Standard this year, with Vintage side events (probably eight mans) at a yet to be determined entry fee kicking off for entry into the NEV Invitational.  On Sunday, 1/6, there will be the NEV Invitational, as well as a Vintage Mox tournament for all those who did not qualify.

Full details on grinders, and other last minute means to qualify, will be posted in the next day or two.

If a metagame breakdown could get added to this at sometime before the Invitational I'd greatly appreciate it.

Thanks dude!  I was looking for something ridiculous that wasn't a non sequitur, just an obscure reference.  If you Google it you'll find out about a certain South Jersey grindcore band that I saw put on a damn good live show.
