Bazaar of Moxen VII1h away from Lyon and 20 min. from GenevaKeeping the basics that made BoM a success for 6 years now, we’ve worked on many great changes to make it even better in 2013.BoM7 will still happen in May. In 2013, we’ll have the pleasure to welcome you for 5 days of gaming, from Wednesday, 8th to Sunday 12th. Since both Wednesday, 8th and Thursday 9th are bank holidays in several countries, this grants you a long week-end of gaming without taking too many days off work. BoM’s 7th Edition will still be held in Annecy. Taking your remarks into account we’ve looked into a better venue and will be pleased to welcome you in a brand new room that can comfortably sit 1000 players. Its address: Complexe d'animation 2000, route d'Albertville 74320 SEVRIER Sevrier is literally touching Annecy. There is public transportation to and from the venue. Here's a Google map of the area: Google MapBesides finding a better venue, we have also thought about the length of the tournaments. Having you play 14 rounds in one day was just not fun. Therefore we have decided to run the Main Event over two days: Day1 will be held on Friday and Day2 on Saturday. Players with 21 points or more after 9 rounds will be qualified for Day2. For those of you who won’t make Day 2, you’ll find another great Legacy tournament to enter.  There are only two things we will never change: - We’ll still be giving out hundreds of Dual Lands and dozens of P9 pieces in 2013. For the first time, we’ll distribute more than 300 Dual Lands as prizes.
  - We guarantee the prizes we announce, no matter what the tournament attendance is.

The only right we retain is to add even more prizes if the attendance exceeds our expectations!  Here’s the detailed schedule of the events: Wednesday, May 8th PTQ Dublin – More than 20 boxes of prizes on top of Invitation + Airfare to PT Dublin! Format : Standard (Magic 2013, Innistrad and Return to Ravnica blocks) More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website  Trial BoM7 Legacy – Get your byes for the Main Event as well as 8 Dual Lands !More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Two-headed Giant sealedMore information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Thursday, May 9th BoM7’s Last Chance Trial – Get 3 byes for BoM’s Legacy Main Event  and 64 Dual Lands More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website BoM Team Trios – Win 18 Booster Boxes!More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Open CDF Commander – Win a FOIL Jace, the Mind Sculptor!More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website  Friday, May 10th BoM Legacy Main Event Day1 – Win a Black Bordered Power 9 and more than 100 Dual LandsFormat : Legacy Entry fee : 35€ Structure : 9 50-minute Swiss Rounds, cut to 21 points (7-2 or 6-0-3) Planeswalker points multiplier : x3 Registration opens at : 09:00 Tournament starts at : 10:00 Prizes:Players with 21 points or more at the end of Day 1 are qualified for Day2.  Trial BoM Standard – get your byes for the Standard BoM and 8 Booster Boxes More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Trial BoM7 Vintage – Get byes for Sunday and pieces of P9  More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website  Super FNMMore information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Saturday, May 11th BoM Legacy Main Event – Day 2 Format : Legacy (With the same decks as Day 1) Entry fee : 0€ (Invite only) Structure : 60-minute Swiss Rounds + Top 8 Planeswalker points multiplier : x3 Tournament starts at : 09:00 Prizes:Winner : Power 9 BB Finalist : 40 Dual Lands WB 3rd-4th : 4 Underground Sea BB 5th-6th : 4 Tropical Island BB 7th-8th : 4 Tundra BB 9th : 1 Underground Sea BB 10th : 1 Tropical Island BB 11th : 1 Tundra BB 12th : 1 Volcanic Island BB 13th : 1 Savannah BB 14th : 1 Taiga BB 15th : 1 Bayou BB 16th : 1 Scrubland BB 17th-20th : 1 Underground Sea WB 21th-24th : 1 Tropical Island WB 25th-28th : 1 Tundra WB 29th-32th : 1 Volcanic Island WB 33th-64th : 1 Non-blue Dual Land WB  Trial BoM8 Legacy – Be the first to secure 3 byes for BoM8 on top of 64 Dual lands!More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website BoM Sealed – Win 30 Booster Boxes! More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Trial BoM7 Vintage – Your last chance to get byes for Sunday’s Main Event More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official website Sunday, May 12th BoM7 Vintage Main EventFormat : Vintage Entry fee : 35€ Structure : 50-minute Swiss Rounds + Top 8 Planeswalker points multiplier : x3 Registration opens at : 08:00 Tournament starts at : 09:00 Prizes:Winner : P9 WB Finalist : 5 Moxen WB 3rd-4th : 1 Black Lotus WB 5th-8th : 1 Mox WB 9th-12th : 1 Underground Sea WB 13th-16th : 1 Mana Crypt 17th-32nd : 1 non-blue Dual Land WB Additional budget prizesA deck is considered budget if he doesn’t contain any of the following cards: -   Power 9 (5 Moxen, Black Lotus, Ancestral Recall, Time Walk and TimeTwister) -   Library of Alexandria -   Mishra’s Workshop -   Bazaar of Baghdad -   Time Vault -   Imperial Seal 1st : 1 Ancestral Recall WB 2nd : 1 Mox WB 3rd-4th : 1 Bazaar of Baghdad 5th-8th : 1 Mana Drain VI  BoM Standard – More than 50 Booster Boxes!  Format : Standard (Magic 2013, Innistrad and Return to Ravnica Blocks) Entry fee : 25€ Structure : 50-minute Swiss Rounds + Top 8 Planeswalker points multiplier : x3 Registration opens at : 09:00 Tournament starts at : 10:00 Prizes:Winner : 16 Booster Boxes Finalist : 8 Booster Boxes 3rd-4th : 4 Booster Boxes 5th-8th : 2 Booster Boxes 9th-16th : 1 Booster Box 17th-32nd : 12 Boosters   Trial BoM8 Legacy – Secure your Byes for BoM8! More information on Bazaar of Moxen’s official websiteAlthough we do not expect to deny any entry, we’d appreciate a lot you pre-register. What's the average turn out for this, and could we possible run one of these in NY and draw a similar American crowd?

Would love to go, but I live in Texas, which is like the exact opposite side of the world.  The plane ticket alone would break me.  I can swing a trip to NY since family lives almost everywhere in the US and a domestic flight isn't nearly as expensive.  $350 is a possibility to make this big of an event - $1350, not so much.

Really good to see the announcement, I hope I can make it this time, was there during BOM II and it was really good. Prices look as always very good. Attendance on these events Legacy + 600 and Vintage +300 players if I recall it correctly. @ Shockwave: Planning on going this time? @ Peach: We need to discuss Almost Blue again

xposted @ thesource also I flew from Canada to Paris, then into Geneva with EasyJet. Horrible idea. Takes forever, you have to go from Paris CDG to Paris Orly, then we got delayed, then you need to go through that horrible french side of the Geneva airport where there is no one, then you need to take a bus to Annecy.
If you can fly directly into Geneva from where you are, it's worth it. Otherwise, if you have to fly into Paris, take the TGV to Annecy. 4 hours, they leave often, you get to enjoy the awesome french countryside. Thanks for the heads up. I've done easyjet from Ireland to Spain and back a few times and it was at least on time. I think I might try to fly into Barcelona to visit friends / hit Manainfinito store and buy a few t-shirts. Then try to get to Annecy from Barcelona. Does anyone watching this thread have any experience getting from Barcelona to Annecy? I know there's a decent legacy / vintage scene in Barcelona so I imagine there will be some number of players heading to BoM from there. Thanks, Sean O'Brien Edit: Rooms are almost gone. I got a room at a hotel about 1km north of the tourney site and feel fortunate.

Hi! Ask in http://www.eternalcatala.com, probably the most popular eternal forum in Barcelona. And yes, I believe ManaInfinito to be the place to be, specially speaking of Vintage, but you can also find Legacy, Modern and much more I'm not going to Annecy but a good bunch of players are surely going there.

Starting to get very excited about this now! My first BOM - and can't wait. Not sure whether to play only Vintage trials on Friday and Saturday - or to pay a pretty penny to have my arse handed to me in the Legacy main event.... choices! Seems like a decent-sized UK contigent will be heading there. Any Americans coming?

@nedleeds Hi Sean, Sorry for not having answered before regarding these issues! Then try to get to Annecy from Barcelona. Does anyone watching this thread have any experience getting from Barcelona to Annecy? I know there's a decent legacy / vintage scene in Barcelona so I imagine there will be some number of players heading to BoM from there. There are some groups which are going there from Barcelona, my group is going by car heading to the BoM on Thursday and going back on Monday. Anything going on in Barcelona the week after Bazaar of Moxen, I'll be there boozing and eating croquettas de jamon and patatas bravas for another week or so? Is the manainfinito store the place to be for MTG in barcelona? The tournaments in ManaInfinito store are announced every Monday, there is a Proxy Vintage league once a month with 20ish attendance, I guess on Monday 13th the tournaments for Friday and Saturday will be announced. These are normally Legacy, Modern, or Vintage. Regarding big Vintage events, the LCV is normally held the last Saturday of the month, so I´m afraid you won´t make it after the BoM for that tournament

Even if there isn't much going on I'll still stop by to check it out, I've watched enough mana infinito videos I feel like I know the participants. Perhaps after the 4 days of playing magic I'll just want to relax and eat, drink and hang out. I don't suppose you have room for another on your ride back on Monday? I can pay for gas and tell you stories of days terrible decks of years gone by? Otherwise I can catch a jumper flight from Geneva I suppose.

Less than 3 weeks before the event I'd like to give you some extra news : - You can stay in campings all around the venue, they're open since a week or two and have some availability. It' one of the cheapest way to stay near the tournament, in front of the lake - Two headed giant tournament has been replaced by a Standard BoM trial (on wednesday afternoon), you can earn byes for BoM standard and a lots of cool prices. - Last but not least I remind you that preregistrations are open, and the sooner you get preregister, the better we can organise everything. Be nice with us tell that you're planning to come and spread the word Preregistrations are there : http://www.magicbazar.fr/tournois_magic/Bom.php?c=2A question ? : http://www.bazaar-of-moxen.com/Buses and public transportation from Annecy to Sevrier : http://www.cg74.fr/download/site-principal/document/info_transport/fiches-horaires-2011-2012/fh_51_52_web.pdfThanks everyone, and see you very soon @BoM7, an event you don't want to miss !! Just curious does anyone have experience going through Geneva and keeping across the border to Annecy / Sevrier ? Should I expect 2-3 hours? KM wise it looks very close and I've found a number of bus services all for reasonable prices. I don't want to end up Taken.

I got the bus last year it's ok, takes it's time and doesn't leave frequently due to bank holidays in Switzerland around that time works out cheapest if you're not pushed for time
