The death of Vintage in New England may have been slightly exaggerated. 39 players at Pandemonium. Following Swiss, we have a clean cut to Top 8:

BILL COPES: 4-0-1
ELD: 4-0-1
Brassman: 4-1-1
T00L: 4-1-1
DA: 4-1-1

Plus three others I didn't catch. Prize support is really strong through t8.

are "Ongoing results" going to become a new thing? If there could be feature matches, decklists, maybe even video coverages, it'd be a great thing...but....

Ongoing results have been a thing for years.

ELD def. DA 2-1
BILL MOTHERFUCKING COPES def. Keith Carpentier 2-0
Brassman v. Jesse Martin was in game 3 when I left.
No information on Stefan and his t8 match.

Incidentally, we all remarked on how the top 8 was pretty uniformly representative of the old guard of Vintage, despite most of us not playing competitively for years.

Correction to the final numbers,  41 Players in total.  We had a registration error, and a late arrival.

Also the rest of the results for the top 8

Semi-Finals
ELD defeats Brassman (in 2?)
Copes defeats ? in 3

Finals
Copes defeats ELD in a very close 3 series.

As posted in the other thread, my TO report with be going up some time in the next two days with more details.

Edited for accuracy.

Bill Copes bought me a beer after using the power of his mind to remove all the Bazaars and Serum Powders from my deck in two consecutive games.

I was Bill's warm up Rnd 1, highlight of my day.

Congrats, Sr. Copes.

Give me some credit, I beat Bill game one in top 8, but did lose games 2 and 3 handily. Smile Congrats Bill!
