Hilarious. I was the elves player in Dallas that told him about it. I was actually logging in today to get this posted. Glad to hear that he shared the info. It means people are talking about it!

If anyone has questions hit me up here or on Twitter. I am working with the store for this event & am trying my best to revitalize the Vintage scene here in North Texas. If the turnout is good enough we will probably have prize support similar to this event.

I'm really hoping to see some of you there.

-Josh

Here is the 'official' information I was going to post:
March 30th, 2013

Registration 10:00 - 11:45 Late Entrants will not play round 1.
Play starts promptly at Noon.

Swiss with a cut to top 4/8.
Entry $30.00 (each player adds $12.00 in store credit to the prize pool)
Event will be unsanctioned, but run at Competitive REL. Decklists required.
Head Judge is L2 Jim Shuman.

PROXIES:
You are allowed unlimited proxies.

LOCATION:
Madness Comics and Games
111 E University Dr    Suite 112
Denton, TX 76209
940.591.9771

PRIZE STRUCTURE:
1st/2nd:
First gets choice of Unlimited Time Vault or Grim Tutor, second gets the other card.
3rd/4th: Blue dual land (depending on what is in stock at the time)
5-8: 25% of the prize pool in store credit

More prizes may be added depending on attendance.
Attendance is capped at 34 players due to space limitations.
You may preregister by calling the store and speaking with Jim Shuman.

There are 3 ways to make proxies. All proxies subject to approval.

1) Take a basic land card and write the correct characteristics and oracle wording of the card on it with a fine tip marker. NO Ball point pens.
2) Take a card that shares some of the characteristics with the card that is being proxied and erase any characteristics that do not match, replacing them with the correct characteristics and oracle wording.
3) Print out all 75 cards and slip the paper into the sleeve in front of a basic land.

Oh, awesome! I wasn't sure who Mike was talking to. If you want to restart the thread with your information, please be my guest. I can delete my thread, I think.

This tournament sounds like a lot of fun. I hope you get a good turnout!

Leaving this thread up is just fine. Unlike most of the internet I have confidence that we can all read more than just the headlines around here.

We've been averaging 10 players per tournament so I'm hoping that the extra prize support makes this one getat least 20 players.

Wow - this is tempting.  It's about a 5 hr drive from San Antonio, but unlimited proxies might make it worth the trip.  I have a couple designs that are aching to be sleeved up.  I have a month to decide!

Can I look forward to meeting any of you at this event?

As of last week we had confirmed 10 players. Including a few guys are coming in from Corpus, some from Austin & of course as many locals as I can round up.

Hopefully I'll see you there!
