As far as I know, the biggest server is cockatrice.woogerworks.com (port 4747). I just logged on right now and there are 437 people online. I'm not sure how comparable that number is to the amount that the official server used to have, but it seems pretty good.

You can register an account here: http://www.woogerworks.com/index.php/account-management

Your old version of cockatrice that you used on the official server a few months ago will work fine, but Oracle no longer updates your card library. That's not a big deal, you just manually put the new cards.xml in your Cockatrice folder - http://www.woogerworks.com/index.php/update-card-database

Cockatrice is/was pretty much 95% of my Vintage experience, so I'm glad to see it back up. Hopefully more people become aware of this new server and we can get some Vintage matches flowing again.

My github is the more-or-less official center for patches and software changes, for anyone who wants to help submit. I'm pretty sure someone got oracle working again.

What happened to it? What's the prognosis on it continuing to be updated/supported?

I used to play on Cockatrice and found it *miles* better than MWS. It's a shame if it's been abandoned.

In theory, it just needs to be made mildly more general and not be distributed with anything specific to MtG (sets.xml).

In practice, the card images and text could actually be done torrent-style with only a checksum hosted by a dedicated server.

A link to the GitHub project where I store all of my Cockatrice decks.

Any interest in putting together/maintaining a Github Git project that hosts proven decks of all major archetypes and documents their changes over time?

One of the things I really like about it is the (new?) Feature that automatically saves all your game replays. I think its just a series of screen saves everytime there is an action. This could be a great analysis tool/teaching aid that requires nothing extra to install/monitor. I suspect that you can save/send the file to other people to watch. Can anyone confirm?

It records each conversation with the server, so it's more than just screenshots.

Can I share those files with other people to let them watch the replay?
